Dark Choc Brownie

Introducing a new addition to my kitchen's family.
This is a 5 litre Bhalaria stainless steel mixing bowl.
Bought by hb during our last visit to Parkson Alamanda.
Since it was a courtesy from mr hb, i let him to decide on the color, so orange it is then.

Lovely isn't it? But i bet my kitchen will become extra merrier if somebody got for me a new mixer don't u think so? ahaksss :))

Officially launched with a cekodok batter! Mesti u ols ckp adoiii gambar wat cekodok pon mau tunjuk ka?? hehe sori la u ols, cekodok is one of hb's all-time favourite, so i just couldn't help from not taking pic of this batter! hehe. Sape nak resepi cekodok sedap angkat tangan yer :p

Sangat manja…manja…dan manja!

Itulah Ammar..anak bongsu kami yg kini hampir mencecah usia 16 bulan.

Pagi tadi, dia menangis ketika aku tinggalkan dia di taska. Cebik muka, kemudian keluar suara mendayu-dayu, kemudian keluar air mata. Aduh sayu hati mama! Sebelum itu, sempat lagi mama bf kan dia dlm kereta di depan pintu taska. Tak sampai hati nak tinggalkan dia sebab dia dah menyondol2kan muka ke ehem ehemmm mama :p Walaupun masa keluar dari rumah, dia sebenarnya happy & busy duduk atas riba dan pegang stereng kereta..konon nak drive sama2 dgn mama…siap tepis tangan mama tu!!

Mama sudah habis sidai kain...tapi dia masih mahu bermain di luar. Tak heran pun bila grill dikunci. Tapi bila mama tutup pintu, meraung terus!

senyuman dia yg selalu buat hati mama & abah cair!

Hari selasa, mama pulang lambat ke rumah..sampai hampir waktu Maghrib. Time mama nak keluar dari kereta, dia dah melambai2 dari grill rumah…muka sayu dia tuh, adusss macam tak jumpa mama setahun! Bila mama jejak jer kaki ke dlm rumah, terus dia peluk. Daya pelukan tu, memang betullah seolah-olah sudah setahun kami terpisah!

Sebenarnya bukan hari Selasa je, hari-hari lain pun begitu. Si kecil sorang ni lain dari abang2 dia. Memang pantang berenggang dgn mama. Bila mama hilang depan mata, pasti dia sibuk mencari. Bila tak jumpa, menangis. Bila dah jumpa, terus gelak dan main seperti biasa. Lakonan semata-mata bukan? Mama rasa, tahap bonding dan attachment tu terlalu kuat antara kami..mungkin kerana penangan breastfeeding, kami jadi rapat.

Tapi apa2 pun..mama tetap sayang semua..sama rata, tiada yg lebih, tiada yg kurang. Semuanya permata hati mama dan abah. Moga kalian semua sentiasa dilindungiNya.

Ini abang2 Ammar. Sangat rapat, walaupun bila bergaduh, pasti ada salah seorang yg menangis. Byk perkara yg mereka lakukan bersama..baju pun selalu sedondon. Cuma time solat, abang long takdelah pakai 'mask', sebab abang long dah matured :)

birthday nek umi & atok

Alhamdulillah, last weekend we managed to gather once again to celebrate nek umi & atok's birthday, just like what we did in previous years. It was not merely for cake-cutting actually (some more it's org tua punyer birthday pulak tuh haha), but to see the happy faces of our kids and atok dan nenek mereka...that's priceless!

DFCC in action! Last year during idlan's birthday my mom had mentioned that she would like me to bake the same cake for her on her birthday....nanti dik nur buatkan kek yg sama camni ok, takyah beli dekat secret recipe dah...yg ni lagi sedap, nanti umi bayar.
Ya Allah terharunye bila dengar time umi ckp tuh....siap nak bayar lagi..apela umi nih! huhu

They share the same month for birthday, my mom on the 14th while papa on 31st of January

My initial plan was to combine strawberry & maltesers, tapi terlupa plak beli si maltesers tuh iskkk hence i just settled with choc chips instead! Those beautiful and fat strawberry are korean strawberries...rasa serius sedap...sweet gitu! Ammar pun siap pulun 2-3 ketul ari tuh :)

and this is the cake for last year...also bought from kedai sebab mama busy time tuh...ammar still small during that time hence i felt too lazy to go into kitchen and bake any cakes...even a simple muffin is too taxing for me haha

Alhamdulillah idlan was happy at school today. Syukur syukur!
He had PJK on the last 1/2 hour before the school ended. They played football and he became the goalkeeper. The team won as he only failed to catch the opponent's shot once only. Final score 2-1..that's a good start son!

Last night, he murmured slowly...kan best kalau cuti sekolah sebulan mama hantar idlan balik kampung. Boleh main bola dgn Zafran ngan Danish (read: his cousins). :p

And he also told me that his friend AA tak solat. He told his class teacher about the matter, and the teacher reported to AA's mom, and that AA got scolded back at home by his mom.

Uhhhh tergelak kami dgr...tapi mama and abah dah pesan lain kali jgn suka report2 macam tu lagi...kalau tahu dek kawan habis dia!!

my hobby...that is baking!

Told a friend in our email conversation earlier this morning, I’d rather chose making cakes rather than lecturing. Though lecturing seems to be easy for some people (for instance, my hb hehe), I find it to be quite scary and tough. Especially if you couldn’t get the message thru and that your students couldn’t capture your points, worst he or she couldn’t understand you at all haha!

So here is me, ‘makan gaji’ in this beloved company still, of which I’ve served for nearly 9 years. But nevertheless, baking is still my passion, and I’ll always find the me-time to sneak into the kitchen and do some baking activities. It’s my passion, hence I give no excuse despite occasionally i so want to lie in bed and take a nap instead of mixing the sugar and eggs. Some people may find it good to just lay on her sofa and do some reading, but I find it more enjoyable to sift the flour, or melting the chocolate, or see my muffin ‘rise and shine’ and crack inside the oven haha!

Okla enough the crap! This is the Baked Brownie made for hb for our last anniversary (actually for me coz I love this brownie soooo much that I couldn’t stop munching them!)….

and the Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake made for a friend’s birthday. Isn’t it pity for you to order a birthday cake for yourself? Hehe for my case, lagi kesian since I baked my own birthday cake for my birthday! :p But the happiness and joys upon seeing your kids cutting the cakes, that was priceless isn’t it??

an evening in Alamanda

It's been a while since our last outing to Alamanda. So hb took us there yesterday for lunch, right after the husband and wife done with all the house chores….kata org berat sama dipikul, ringan sama dijinjing :)

Chocolate cheese muffin

I just wrote yesterday saying idlan was all ok with his new school and everything but heck i was wrong! Few minutes after i published the entry, a neighbour called telling me idlan refused to go to his class after the bell rang! He said he didnt want to go to class for he forgot to bring his textbooks as instructed by the teachers. He afraid that the teachers will scold him for that reason. My neighbour said initially he saw idlan was hiding in a toilet, later she spotted him at ground floor below the office. I asked her to try to coax idlan, in fact a teacher who happened to be there has tried persuading him into going to class but failed.

I was panicked ok. Called hb but couldnt get thru. Hence i decided to go straight to his school. Later i managed to inform hb about the matter and he immediately rushed to school as well. Idlan was blurry in tears when we met him at the school. After few rounds of 'interrogation' we finally knew the actual reason. He couldn't find Afham, his ex-tadika friend cum the person sitting next to him in class. Just because he didnt see Afham so he decided he didnt want to go to class bec he didnt have any other friends. Gosh it seems that my boy still hv issue adapting himself to the new school isk isk...We later brought him back to the class, which at that time close to 3pm already. When he spotted Afham inside the class, he voluntarily walked into the class without further ado! Ah this boy who earlier pulled drama now suddenly changed in just a blink!! Nevertheless hb decided to wait and monitor him until recess time, just in case he acts on upon something. Back at home, he acted like normal, as if he didnt do anything.

I prayed hard that things will become a lot easier for him from today onwards...

Oh anyway, how's your weekend going on so far peeps?

As for me, it was quite a tiring day yet full of accomplishment!
I am done with ironing all 9 pairs of uniform for the kids, washed idlan's school shoes, made paprik for lunch, and not forgetting baked these lovely chocolate cheese muffin for tea. Right after baking the whole family set off to playground - me got the chance to play badminton with hb, then i played with idlan while hb joined his volleyball mates, later i had the kids enjoyed themselves eating ice cream after few rounds of kicking the balls and whatnots. Sgt enjoy ok, some more i had the chance to swing my racket after sooooooooo many years haha!

Chocolate cheese muffin

My first attempt trying out this recipe, and honestly it turned out to be really good! (at least to my tastebuds haha). Very chocolaty with a light cheese taste, not so sweet and the texture is nice n fluffy. Recipe is very simple, perfect for super-busy mommies like you and for a beginner, this recipe is a must-try ok!

Source: Dapur Tanpa Sempadan by Mat Gebu, tq abg Mat for this great recipe!!!

Ingredients
140g cooking chocolate
100 cream cheese
80g butter
2 grade A eggs*
1 tsp vanilla essence (stir together with eggs)
60g sugar
100g All purpose flour
2tsp baking powder

Method
Preheat oven 180C for 15 mins
Using double boiler method.. add in cooking chocolate, butter and cream cheese - i didnt double boil my mixture, just heat them direct on the stove but on slow heat to avoid burning the chocolate :p
Once melt..add in sugar and egg mixture.
Add in sifted flour and continue to stir till theres no lump
Pour batter into muffin case making sure its 3/4 full.
Top with almond slice and bake it for 20mins - i used choc chips instead of almond slice

my first 2012 entry

Again I guess I’ve lose the energy to blog, though there’re actually loads that I wish I could tell and share over here.

It’s the 6th day of the new year 2012. I don’t put any resolution yet in writing, nor do I have anything in mind right now. Probably I have too many things to consume and think be it at home-front or office that my mind keeps on wandering and working wearily.

To start with, my eldest has been transferred to a new primary school nearby our house. It wasn’t an easy decision for us, and him of course, but we hope we’re making the best decision for him. I don’t want to elaborate further on the reason and whatnots, but we’re praying hard he’ll be ok going thru the transition process – new school, new set of friends, new teachers, new environment, everything.

First day, I was with him till recess time. Alhamdulillah he was attached to a class in which some of his old friends who previously went thru the same tadika at our taman were in that class too, hence I don’t think he has issue adapting and coping with new friends. Breaktime, he went to canteen with them, and later I asked him to go to surau to perform Zohor prayer with them too. Told and reminding him many times not to skip his solat no matter what happen. He took the right bus on the way back home on the 2nd day, that’s a huge relief to us. This year, me and hubby determined to prepare ‘bento’ set for him everyday. Apa itu bento? Haha sila gugel ok :p So overall, Idlan seems to be fine on his first and second day of schooling, both at Kafa and sek keb.

Our second darls Amir Firas went to kindy this year. It was the same tadika with his taska, hence this boy has no issue adapting to the teachers and friends. First day during line up in the morning, he was all bz chit-chatting and playing with his bff Qaisara, while his other friends reciting doa and sang Negaraku. When he later spotted that me and hb were staring at him, he gave us his normal shy-shy smile and look away, and soon afterwards bz chit chatting again with that girl. Ah our Firas is obviously a total opposite from his brother. We still remember idlan was quite responsible and matured when he was 4yr, while Firas is still behaving like a kid, very cheeky and naughty in his own way. I asked him what he did on his first day at kindy, he uttered ‘ntah’. I think he took no serious about this schooling thingy at all hihi.

Myself? Ahh 2011 has its own ups and downs but overall Alhamdulillah to me everything works well both at home or work. There’ll be some restructuring over here and I’ll be incharged of other commodities very soon, no more procuring cables, materials and network items anymore, will be reporting to a new bos which I kind of dislike him but let’s just keep going and take it as a challenge ok!

This year I foresee to be a lot more hectic and busy, but we’re set for Phuket and Perth as some of the highlights for our holiday (and i wish to include USS as well bley tak Yang hehehe). And yes I sooo wanna have a repeat visit to Desa Waterpark with the kids, if only I knew their waves pool is so cool am sure will bug hb to take us there on each school holiday :p

Me will be super bz pressing the kids' clothes aduhai task yg sgt membosankan!! - 3 pairs for sek keb, 3 pairs for Kafa, and another 3 pairs for that cheeky Firas! Lucky Ammar is only 15mths if not i'll be collapse halfway for sure :p

8th Anniversary

It’s our 8th anniversary today.

Hubby stayed at home for half day, looking after our eldest who had just undergone his ‘khatan’ and unfortunately got complications barely 1 hour after the klamp procedure. Idlan is recuperating now, at my mom’s.

Me off to work as usual after a straight four-day leave. It’s moving towards the year-end and the works are just too taxing and everything is becoming super urgent right now. The system is not stable and keep on going intermittent, went down every now n then..bagus la tuh!!

We were supposed to be on leave today, our initial plan was to watch Ombak Rindu or any movie, have a proper lunch together and probably do some window shopping before picking up the kids at 630pm. I have planned to make a special cake for him over the weekend.

But Allah has a better plan for us.

Marriage is not only about love, but tolerating and understanding each other roles and responsibilities, prioritizing certain things and not to think about one self only. We’ve been together in this journey for 8 good years, went through the sweat and tears, joy and laugh, everything, together.

I miss my hb, miss my eldest who for the first time separating with us (until this coming weekend), miss my cheeky n naughty firas, and my lovely ammar. But still I need to be in the office.

Happy 8th Anniversary Yang…thank you for everything.
Love you now n forever.
May Allah bless our marriage, and that we’ll always be guided with iman and akal in whatever we’re doing.

berkhatan

Hubby texted me yesterday confirming that he has fixed for Idlan to undergo 'berkhatan' this coming Friday at 3pm. He requested me to take half day, to accompany our eldest and sort of giving moral support throughout the procedure.

Idlan was all ok with the news. For the past few weeks we kept on asking whether he is ready for khatan or not this year. Initially he said 'no', what more with Firas shouting and telling 'firas takmo sunat firas takootttt' everytime we brought up the khatan issue. But recently upon listening to his friends' stories that has went thru the khatan, he came to us and said 'ok'.

Just now i had lunch with my usual colleagues at our pantry and tell them about the khatan story. They (the men) said khatan is one of the biggest event in any men's life apart from akad nikah. Probably we can equate this with women and labour, isnt it?

Ok so now i got the point why hubby wanted me to take half day leave :)

Btw, it's 9th Dec on Friday, and 10th is his born day. Celebrate besday dgn bersunat la nih!

Sored nipples

I'm now on Bepanthen cream every now n then. Both my nip*les cracked n sored quite badly. I guess it's due to ammar's style of latching yg ganaz n suke memain. I'm now nursing my 3rd child and this was actually my first time experiencing sored nip*les...before this cuma dgr keluhan org lain huhu

Kind of fobia when it comes to nursing time these days. Few times i shouted to him n he cried. Sori sayang but mama just couldnt help it. Sakit sesangat!!

Double birthday celebration

A fruitful, and lovely weekend indeed.

We (i.e. me and SIL) threw out an ad-hoc plan to have a join birthday celebration for the kids. It was a pre-celebration for Idlan since his birthdate is actually on the 10 of Dec, while for my niece Hana, it was a post-birthday celebration (29 Nov). Had the celebration at my bro's place in Ampang. A close-knit gathering among the family members only, but we truly had a good time chit-chatting and sharing stories. Most importantly, i'd say the kids had a blast time throughout the evening. Gegak-gempita rumah abang...my mom said "ni lah rupanya kalo ade anak ramai..kecoh satu rumah :p

I planned to make a DFCC on Friday night, but a migraine attack since evening made me go to bed very early. Woke up at 4.30am with a heavy head still, and straight away went to kitchen to start baking. This cake was quite 'leceh' since it involves few steps and i knew i'm gonna take a long time to finish up the whole cake (what with ammar being around...arghh byk dugaan!).

here goes the large DFCC (1.7kg) with maltesers! Sanggup stop by at Shell just to buy those maltesers :p Made the cake at 4.30am, and only finish up at 11am (lama kan!).

This is a large buttercake made by my SIL, frosted with non-dairy whipped cream. I like the color combination, very beautiful! i can see hana really loved her cake, when we arrived at her house she kept on telling us "kite ade kek angry bird!!!". Then Firas uttered back "kite ade kek coklat bulat-bulat!!" Hahaha kids being kids, they must've been very excited when it comes to birthday thingy.

my SIL made fried spiral pasta and mee rebus. Me brought over nothing except the cake isk isk blame it to the migrain! The mee rebus was so delish that hubby gave me a hint 'awak kena buat jugak nih'. So i asked my SIL for the recipe and guess what, she used the instant mee rebus paste rupanye...brand Adami. Sila cari ok..serius sedap, umi pun puji sedap :)

Jawapan saya..sudah pastilah kek, kek dan kek lagi!!!

Minggu lepas buat Devil's food choc cake yg ketiga...dlm masa sehari sudah licin! Kalau ditanya siapa yg tukang makan paling byk...jawapan dia mestilah saya!! Bukan anak2..bukan my hb..hehe.

Lepas tu saya order kek lapis India dari sahabat saya yg mmg anak jati Sarawak...dia belikan 2 ketul utk saya nyum nyummm...tq my dear fren!!!!

Dan hari ini, sampailah kek bika ambon yg saya kirim dari ofismate yg baru pulang dari Medan. Wahhh hepinyer saya!!!

Esok insya Allah kami akan pulang ke Kelantan...so dlm kereta boleh pulun mkn kek nyummieeee :)))

Al Quran tu byk slack dekat surah Al-Kafirun...bila suruh baca kat rumah, boleh je dia baca...tp dlm kertas, sumer ditulisnya salah!

Keputusan UPSR baru keluar kelmarin.
Dan tadi aku sempat berbual dgn colleague yg duduk di sebelahku, yg mana anak sulung dia dpt 5A dlm UPSR dan no 2 terbaik bagi PSRA di negeri Selangor (mumtaz, markah 98.6%).

Hebat benar anak kakak ni.
Kata dia, sejak darjah 1 anak dia dapat no 1 dan markah selalu dpt 100% dlm setiap ujian atau peperiksaan di sekolah. On top of that, anak dia mesti bolot hadiah utk mata pelajaran terbaik.
Selain drpd potensi anak dia, peranan ibu bapa tu sgt penting. Byk benda yg ku pelajari hasil drpd perbualan singkat dgn kakak ni.

Anak kita mungkin pandai, mungkin cemerlang....
tapi tanpa doa dan restu ibu bapa, mungkin dia tidak akan cemerlang selamanya.

Anak kita mungkin tidak berapa cemerlang dan pandai...
tapi berkat doa dari si ibu dan bapa, mungkin dia akan lebih cemerlang dan excel dlm setiap perkara yg diharungi.

Masa UPSR, kakak ni ambil cuti seminggu dan berpuasa sunat setiap hari. Semasa anak dia exam, kakak ni buat solat sunat, mengaji dan tidak putus2 berdoa pada Allah sehinggalah paper anak dia selesai.

Bila ku lihat dan bandingkan dgn diri sendiri...

- hmm apa anak belajar di sekolah pun tak berapa pasti...
- 2-3 hari nak exam, baru kelam-kabut buka buku sekolah anak, dan tanya dia dah belajar sampai mana.
- last minute baru duduk dgn anak utk ulangkaji pelajaran bersama-sama dan buat latihan

Dan bila direnung dan diingat kembali, rasanya masa exam final baru ni aku terlupa nak buat solat hajat utk Idlan...unlike masa periksa penggal pertama dulu, ku rajin buat solat hajat utk dia (anyway time tu dia dpt no 2).

Mama janji, bermula tahun depan mama akan jadi lebih rajin dan komited lagi perihal pelajaran anak2 mama. Moga kamu akan jadi lebih cemerlang dari mama dan abah, lebih cemerlang dari mereka semua.

Dan kamu kena ingat, solat itu sangat penting. Jangan nak buat muka masam kalau mama dan abah bising menegur perihal solat kamu yg kadang2 tu laju yg amat...mama tahu kamu sibuk nak kejar tengok kartun kan???

Doa qunut - hmm alhamdulillah kamu dah hafal! Selama ni solat Subuh tak baca qunut. Salah mama dan abah tak suruh kamu hafal...tapi baru2 ni bila mama suruh hafal, hmm kejap je dlm masa beberapa jam kamu dah berjaya hafal. Yer insya Allah anak mama ni terang hati...moga Allah terus menerangkan hatimu utk mudah menangkap ilmu2 yg baik buat bekalan di hari esok.

Apa2 pun, we lurve you loads son. Kamu memang anak yg baik, taat, obedient, abang yg penyayang dan boleh diharap. Apa mama suruh, mesti kamu buat..walaupun kadang2 kamu akan membebel balik dan ckp "asyik-asyik idlan, asyik-asyik idlan...suruhlah firas!". Ahh mama tahu kamu belum cukup matured lagi, sebab tu suka bandingkan sesuatu perkara tu dgn firas.

Dan mama tahu kamu masih belum masuk 7 tahun lagi. Sebab itu perangai masih macam budak-budak...siap nak bawa mainan pergi sekolah..ape kes tu???

The Baked Brownie for Hauza

Taddaaaaaaa...my first time trying out this recipe and hey it didnt disappoint me at all! Sgt sedap, rich, sinful, lazat, lemak berkrim disukai ramai :p It's a chocolate moist cake that has been frosted with cream cheese, cool for a while and later poured with cool ganache, and last but not least sprinkled with choc curls on top. Bunyi pun dah lazat kan :) Tapi nak buat dia aduhaiii berjiwa jugaklah. Mula2 buat kek dulu, pastu kena sejukkan..then belah dua kek tu. Then buat cheese frosting, sapu atas kek dan sejukkan balik dlm fridge. Then buat ganache, sejukkan ganache then baru boleh tuang atas kek. last skali nak sagat choc tu pulak...huishh jenuh jugakla nak menyiapkan seketul kek tuh :p Oh by the way nama kek ni Devil's Food Chocolate Cake...resepi bley gugel sajer ok.

tu dia si kecik ni dah standby nk potong. Di belah pagi tu kami attend konvo tadika si Firas di Jade Hills...tapi Firas cuma buat persembahan je (for kids 3yr) bukan konvo yer.

my lil bambino who nows drink a lot and when i say a lot i really meant it. Stock EBM depletes quite fast these days, from my rough estimation probably it could only last for another a month of two huhu. Daily output around 15oz, while this boy drinks around 24-28oz so just imagine how much frozen EBM been used in a day? grrrrr

This supposed to be a last week's entry but i keep on procrastinating to publish it till today. But what the heck i still wanna post it since i've spent so much of my time to write-save-write-save-write-save-for-how-many-times that i lose count already :p

Last weekend was indeed a fruitful one, filled with fun, laughter, ‘penghayatan’, and of course the usual and non-stop ‘makan-makan’ time. Thursday night, I was busy baking 5 brownies for ammar’s teachers, my staffs and not forgetting one to be brought back to hb’s hometown in Kedah. Friday morning as planned, we started our journey heading up to North and safely arrived at Junjung Kedah roughly around 4pm. Our car almost had an accident and hit the divider in the middle of the road after the Jelapang tunnel (betul ke jelapang eh nama terowong tu b?) but Alhamdulillah dgn izinNya hb managed to pull an emergency break and our car stopped just in time, just few inches apart from the divider phewwww! There were 4-5 cars in front of us, and the farthest one, which is white in color was the one to be blamed bec it suddenly stopped (we’re not sure whether it hits something or hv other problems) and cause the cars following behind to pull an abrupt stop as well.

This year Raya Haji was quite special since for the first time in life I got the chance to witness the ‘sembelih lembu’ event. Sedih dan kesian pun ada but insya Allah all of them will be placed in heaven. I overhear some of the makcik2 said in Mekah the cows will not ‘meronta-ronta’ and people do not have to tie them up bec they will willingly lie down and ‘menyerah diri’ when their time come…as easy as that huh. The villagers definitely need some skill to tame the cows down, there was few occurrence where they failed to tie up the legs, the cows got angry and move forwards to the people surrounds..we in fact took few steps backwards to save our lives haha kelakar pun ade rasanya. Oh did I ever mention that for the first time in life I got bitten by a ‘lintah’. It almost reached up to my knee when I found it hoho dia sudah kenyang gilos!

As usual, bila buat korban, we will be over flooded with daging korban. So guess what we did with all the daging???

It was a homemade daging burger ok!!!!

Very delish, contains no fat whatsoever but 100% meat only. Sangat sedap yer tuan puan, plus we had put some onions, daun saderi, daun bawang, pepper and salt, so it tastes sooo good and truly different from the one bought on the shelf. Sila cuba buat yer!! Both idlan and firas walloped 3pcs at a time, myself also couldn’t stop eating one after another…ishh kesimpulannye mmg sedap gilers lah! Still hv some frozen daging back at home, so I thought of giving another rounds of homemade burger this weekend as brekkie…sounds perfect :)

Oh ayah also bought few kilos of sweet potato for us, so I need to be extra rajin this weekend and prepare loads of homemade kuih keria especially for Idlan. He loves kuih keria very much and can eat up to 10pcs at one time!! That’s my big boy, he now eats a lot and always up to something even early in the morning right after waking up from sleep he will come to me and ask..pagi ni kita makan apa mama??? Haha this boy now resembles me a lot. He loves to eat, so does his mama..mmg anak mama lah tuh!

Last but not least, here goes pic of the cousins yg membuatkan mak pak dan atok nenek dia kecoh sokmo dekat kampung. Penat nak ligan mereka ni...actually ada 2 boys lagi not in the pic, bila berkumpul sudah cukup membuatkan kami pot pet pot pet non stop :p

Tiramisu i luv u!

It's Wednesday already and in just 2 days time we will be leaving KL heading up to North to celebrate our Raya Haji. Can't wait to gather with my hb's family, have the usual makan2 time together, and thought of going for a picnic probably at Feringghi if the weather permits. Ahh talking about the weather, looks like the rainy season has come again. Some places even get flooded already huhu pity to those who gets affected and needs to be moved to a safer place! As for us working in KL, by the time the clock ticks 5pm, we immediately rush down to the car park to get our car, start the engine and off we go back home, praying hard that we will arrive safely and not caught in any massive traffic 'dek kerana banjir' :(

Okie dokie back to the subject title, we also had this for dessert on last weekend....on top of the delish and fudgy 'Baked Brownie'. Remember i have a 1kg of cream cheese in fridge, and i was contemplating in between tiramisu/cheese tarts/marble cheese brownies but finally i chose Tiramisu hehe!

selingan kejapsss. This was part of hb's regular 'work out' regime before indulging himself with all those sweety treats i made for him :p

This is the LadyFingers biscuit that was shown in my earlier post. It tastes sweet bec there’re some sugars on it. It soften easily when soaked in water, hence to get a nice tiramisu layer you mustn’t celup biskut tu lama2..celup kejap jer ok! I made a blunder since it was my first time using ladyfingers, as such my biscuits rasa sgt lembut/lembik…kureng sedap gitu! Actually I didn’t soak it that long, perhaps next time I just need to sprinkle the Nescafe on top of it instead of soak it.

Here we go the second step. After celup the biskut inside coffee/Nescafe, spread the cream cheese layer on top of the biscuits. Dust a lil bit of cocoa powder on it. Then you need to arrange the biscuits again, and cover with another layer of cream + cocoa powder. You may repeat the steps and have more layers of tiramisu if ur casserole is high, in my case I just repeat with 2 layers of biscuits and cream.

This is the final result. You may garnish the top with cocoa powder and chocolate curls. Nak lagi sedap, go and get some fresh strawberries/kiwi/dark berries from the shelf :) Easy peasy huh???

nyums nyumss. Serve it cold, mmg cam mkn eskrem :p

Anyway, since I still have some leftover cream cheese, I took out few muffin liners, celup and arranged my biskut Marie and repeat the above steps to have another version of smaller Tiramisu in cups! Hb said he prefers the biskut Marie version since biskut marie ni tak lembik and lembut as compared to the LadyFingers. Idlan didn’t seem to enjoy Tiramisu that much, simply bec of the coffee flavor (now I know my son detest coffee!) while Firas hits the cream only…biskut dia reject and kasik abah!! Myself? Ahhh no need my review since i am a sweet tooth person and definitely never reject anything so long as they’re sweet and soothing :)

So here goes the recipe, given by my friend Hany Fariza. Not sure the original source tho...enjoys!

TIRAMISU
Bahan cream cheese:

1 kotak kecil whipping cream

1 ketul cream cheese phildephia

1/2 cawan gula halus (sesedap rasa)

campur semua, putar sampai gebu sebati.

Bahan lapisan:

biskut marie (tiger) = boleh guna kek span or ape2 kek

4 sudu kecil nescafe

4 sudu kecil gula

air panas= bancuh nescafe-

celup biskut marie dlm nescafe & susun dlm bekas.

masukkan cream cheese satu lapis.

celup biskut marie dlm necafe susun lagi

masukkan cream cheese satu lapis lagi.
ulang proses lapisan sampai habis bahan.

*lapisan atas adalah lapisan cream cheese.

-masukkan dlm peti ais = 4 jam

taburkan serbuk koko.. potong n hidangkan.

*serbuk koko bleh campur ngan milo lagi sedap & setiap lapisan cream cheese bleh tabur serbuk koko+milo.

Note:

I didnt follow the measurement exactly..tak sukat pon measurement nescafe tuh. Some English recipe calls for a combination of cream cheese and Mascarpone cheese.

The Baked Brownie

It was a weekend, full of sweet and calories! haha

Hubby called it as "hari mama memasak".

Being a morning person, as usual i started off the day by doing some laundry and cleaning. Then i took out the usual ingredients and start mixing the batter for pancake, and here we go 8-9 pcs of beautiful pancakes ready for brekkie. Thought of giving a try to any of the crepes recipes that i've collected from the internet (remember my failed crepes story, ahaaa i still determine to improvise my crepe skills!), but suddenly ideas popped out! why not using the marvellous Nigella's pancake batter to make crepes eh??after all they're using basically the same ingredients. So without further ado i added some milk to make the batter more fluid, and drop a ladle of the batter onto the same pan. See whether i got it right this time or not????

tadaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Appearance-wise still not as beautiful as the one selling at the kiosk, but finally i managed to make a thin and slim crepe!! haha. You can actually vary the fillings - chocolate, ground peanuts, banana, whipped cream, slices of fresh fruit like kiwi, peach, strawberry, anything! Eat it hot from the stove, ahh ur kids surely will fall in love with this piece :)

This is hb's all-time favourite for brekkie! I had the pancake with blueberry pie filling, while hb ate it with maple syrup..ala2 Mc D big B gitewww!

I cooked Hawaiian macaroni bolognese for lunch (the term Hawaiian since i put pineapple slices in the bolognese sauce) and now let's see what we had for our dessert..........

The Baked Brownie by Matt Lewis!!!!! As posted in fb, this version of dark chocolate brownie is simply divide and sinful. It's very chocolaty, rich, fudgy, sweet, a crowd-pleaser, a must-try, definitely a keeper! Kesimpulannya, you must try this out, it surely never fail you :) I must say that this is the best brownie i've ever tasted before. It cracked on the top, but no worry as that was actually what made it to be different and outstanding from any other brownies!
I've altered the recipe here n there to suit my taste, and everybody just loves it. Hb likes it, my kids love it, my colleague said sedappppppnyerrrrr, my neighbour also said the same, and myself??? haha makan tak bley stop beb, kol 11.30pm ngapp 4 ketul sekaligus time panas2 tuh :p heaven!

The Baked Brownie – Matt Lewis (Oprah’s favourite!)- taken from Baked: New Frontiers In Baking
makes 24 brownies – use 8x8’
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp dark unsweetened cocoa
11 oz. dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into 1″ pieces - i use salted butter, and omit the salt
1 tsp instant espresso powder - i use nescafe rich
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar - i reduce to 1 1/4 cups
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar - i reduce to 1/4 cups
5 eggs at room temp
2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter the sides and bottom of a 9×13″ glass or light-colored metal baking pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and cocoa.
Melt the chocolate, butter, instant espresso powder, stirring occasionally, until completely melted and smooth. Turn off the heat. Whisk in the sugars. Mixture should be room temperature.

Add 3 eggs to the mixture and whisk until just combined. Add the remaining eggs and whisk until just combined.

Stir in the vanilla. Do not over beat the batter at this stage or your brownies will be cakey.
Sprinkle in the flour mixture, and fold the flour mixture into the chocolate until combined. Using a spatula (DO NOT USE A WHISK) fold the dry into the wet until there is just a trace amount of the flour/cocoa mix visible.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake in the center of the oven for 30 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through the baking time, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
When cool, cut the brownies into squares. These keep tightly wrapped for up to three days.

I guess i’ve got back my baking momentum that recently I don’t mind sitting in front of lappy for hours googling and searching for good recipes.
As usual, I’ll pick up only the ones with rave reviews, copy and paste the recipes in words file, and hoping that I have ample time to try out all of them! Ample means I got the ‘me’ time to spend hours in kitchen without any interference (read: si abang mau poo poo, si adik mau breastfeed, si abang besar mintak susu, and yadaa yadaa :p)

So peeps, here goes the line ups in my wishlist in case any other bakers out there feels like trying too :)

Anyway today right after office hour i zoomed off to Yummie situated in Bangi, the usual bakery supply shop that i go to whenever i am in needs of topping up my baking supply. A visit to Yummie never fails to broke me at least RM100 and i truly hate this (people says benci tapi suka haha). Let's see what i've just got myself today.....

tadaaaaaaaa!! It's Beryl's dark chocolate compound. Purposely bought this to make that famous 'baked brownie' by Matt Lewis :) Anyway i always believe using a good high quality chocolate always produce good cakes, but to spend on something like Couverture is a big no-no for now. It's triple the Beryl's price u see!!! ahh harus kopak poket sekali beli :p

Off-topic kejap. These are not from Yummie, but a gift from my SIL. She bought them in UK, cant remember whether this is Mastrad or what..but anyway i just took the spatula out tonight to fold my brownie batter and voila, it works like magic since it scraped almost every single inch of the batter and remains none in the bowl..perfect!! First time pakai ni tau Unda...tq dear!! See the green sciscor and cutting board? those were not from UK ok...haha secara tak sengaja i notice there are in green as well, macam adik-beradik pulaks :)

Back to my evening shopping story, i also got this from Yummie....

Bonomi LadyFingers nama dia. I told hubby, kite beli lady fingers tadi kat yummie and he gave me that weird-look. before further ado i said..tu biskut utk buat tiramisu, bukan bendi! Can you imagine a ladyfingers cake? haha surely none of you are dare enough to try it out :p

Ok tu je gambar yg i nak tunjuk hehe. Actually on top of that i also bought a 1kg Anchor cream cheese, blueberry pie filling, chocolate jam (nyum nyummm) and few other things that altogether costs me nearly RM150.

This is actually my xxth visit for the month, so imagine how much i've spent just for baking?

Me going to the bakery supply shop is like kids spending their fun time looking up for toys at the Toys R Us :p

My failed crispy crepes!

Well yeah, my very first version and supposed-to-be-crispy crepes failed miserably. Yesterday I reached home around 6pm, and since the downpour was tad heavy I decided to cook something for dinner (and let hubby to go and pick up the kids later). It was either pancakes or crepes, but since I badly wanting to try out the crepe recipes, so it was crepes then! Took out the printed English recipe, lined up all the ingredients, have them measured right as stated in the recipe, heat up my non-stick pan and there we go my crepe batter in the pan.

First crepe, failed as it didn’t turn out as thin as I want. Second try, fail again..still thick. Oh I forgot to tell you that I’ve actually spread some peanut butter+chocolate jam on one side of the crepe while waiting the sides to turn brown, and also drizzled it with Hershey's chocolate syrup before slides it off the pan once cooked. Well my oh my, after so many attempts still my crepes didn’t went as thin as the one that we ate at Mines (mode: SEDEY).

When my kids are back, Ammar demanded for direct feeding, so I left the remaining batter to Hb and let him settled the rest. Hb said probably it was something wrong with my batter. I argued back saying I followed exactly as what was written on the recipe, in fact I’ve done few research and made few comparisons on the different version of ‘crispy’ crepes available on the net. Hb asked me to find crepe recipe that resembles apam balik. I told him probably I am lacking that soft skills required to make a good thin crispy crepe, or probably bec I don’t have that one tool used by this one lady at the kiosk where the tool is used to thin up and spread the batter evenly on the pan (must do this quickly else the batter will cook and becomes unspreadable anymore!). Anyway that tool is L-shape and made from steel just in case u guys are curious how does it looks like :p

Ah back to my crepes story, the taste was surprisingly good actually (haha perasan kejap) despite the looks that was not appealing at all. Idlan ate 3pcs and firas had 2 for himself. I asked idlan, which one do you prefer crepes or pancakes…and he immediately answered crepes! Me? Hehe while making the crepes I’ve had actually ate few of them sampai tak sedar brape ketul dah ngap!! Mr Hb? Hmm dia makan sajer…and he said it was like eating lempeng. Tapi I personally think my crepes taste even better than lempeng :p

Pictures later yer coz I forgot to bring my SD card. But in case any of you want to try out the recipe, here go I pasted one for you :) It's good to have this for brekkie, serves it with jam, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or anything...mmg sedaplah!

Ingredients – source: ALLRECIPES.COM
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and the eggs. Gradually add in the milk and water, stirring to combine. Add the salt and butter; beat until smooth.
2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each crepe. Tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly.
3. Cook the crepe for about 2 minutes, until the bottom is light brown. Loosen with a spatula, turn and cook the other side. Serve hot.

p/s: i think next time i must add more milk/water to make the batter becomes more fluid so as to get the right batter consistency.

The very first time I had the taste of a crepe, me (and hb) immediately fell in love with its taste. Crunchy and addictive when serves hot, soft and not too heavy once cooled. We bought that crepe at Mines, somewhere 2 weeks ago. It was a chocolate banana peanuts crepe, sgt delish ok!! Back at home that same night, I googled few crepe recipes, and heck it is quite simple actually, but requires some soft skill, especially if you wanna have a very nice thin crepe layer :p

Anyway I am yet to try out any of the recipes, but I was thinking to have my crepe to be filled with peanut butter and chocolate jam, hv it drizzled with chocolate syrup, and garnish with almond nibs and chocolate chips. Haha salivating already??? Nak lagi best take out your mixer and beat up some cream…ahh totally divine! Tak cukup lagi.. hv some scoops of ice-cream dollop onto it and the result…PERFECTO!!

Pancakes/Hotcakes

Kalau dekat Mc D panggil hotcakes.
Tapi slalunye orang refer as pancakes.
Kalo mak pak zaman dulu, panggil lempeng je kots.
Whatever the name is, kami anak beranak mmg suka makan pancake.
Normally we eat pancakes with Hershey's chocolate syrup, tapi tadi terjumpa pancake syrup ni dekat Pasaraya Hero kat rumah mak di Ampang...zasss terus beli! RM17.50 per bottle, mahal sehh, tapi untuk mencapai kenikmatan pancake yg sejati punye pasal...tutup mata sajalah :p
Dah invest beli pancake syrup ni, harapan saya lepas ni kuranglah sikit aktiviti brekkie di Mc D hihi.

Pillsbury Pancake Syrup. Saya tak pasti sama ke tidak dgn maple syrup...tapi belasah saje la! Lagipun ada gambar pancake kat botol tuh..so konfem sesuai mkn dgn pancake!

Tu version pancake yg saya selalu buat. Either mkn dgn choc syrup, or blueberry jam, or both. Rasanya kalau sapu peanut butter, then drizzle dgn choc syrup tuh, vogedevas jugak kots!! Atau pun, sapu je dgn butter + drizzled choc syrup...wahhh sedap bangat!!

Ok now meh kita jengah resepi pancake yg saya slalu guna. Tak ingat dah source dr mana, its either Nigella's or joyofbaking punyer version :p Insya Allah sedap, walaupun tak se'fluffy' pancake yg kami pernah mkn di Aussie dulu.

1 cup flour

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

2 tbp sugar

1 egg - lightly beaten

1 cup milk

2 tbs unsalted butter- melted

1. Whisk together all the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, whisk egg, milk & butter.

2. Combine both mixture, whisk until just combine.

3. Do not overmix the batter!

4. Cook in a greased non-stick pan until the surface turns slightly brown and small bubbles appear on the top, flip over and continue to cook sampai lah masak :)

The kids are not well these past few days. It started with Ammar last week where he was down with fever for 3-4 days + lil bit of coughing + runny nose. Then the viral spread to Firas, and today i got my fair share of fever + flu. Hopefully all of us will recover before Deepavali, well it just doesnt feel good to stay at home doing nothing during weekends or public hols :p

Idlan had finished his exam. So far he got 98% for Jawi and 80% for Al Quran. Sgt teruk result Al Quran tuh. He got almost all wrong for Surah Al-Kafirun. It's not that he doesnt remember the surah, in fact he can recites the surah well in front of us back at home. Ni mesti kes silap baca soklan, or kes nak jwb cepat jer huhu.

Last but not least, these are what i baked during the weekend. Mood baking datang balik, but we'll see sampai bila mood rajin ni bertahan hehe

the infamous choc banana bottom square brownies for Oleen. I said 'infamous' bec almost all local bakers have tried out this recipe (tak caye sila google!). But being the normal me, i had amended the original recipe here n there to my liking until i satisfied with the final result :)

a 1.7kg birthday cake for Yati koko's second princess Hani :) She wanted a princess theme, and since am not sure whether the local bakery shop has a ready-stock princess edible image, i recommended her to place a customized order from edibleprint.com.my and pass the image to me :) If i were not mistaken the price is RM18, you may choose your own image and template.

She ordered a 7.5" edible image + 8pcs of 1.6" image. So these small edibles were placed on top of cup cakes.

these xtra cuppies were meant for my kids. I don't like buttercream, so i used ganache instead..mkn dgn eskrem uhhh konfem sedap!!! pastu sakit tekak haha padan muke!

What we bought in HK

These are the things that we bought in HK..bukan edisi menunjuk ok. But purely for my personal notes, also for my friends who have upcoming trips to HK so that they at least have ideas what are the things that can be found over there :)

Disney key chains (10 for $100) & fridge magnet (6 for $100, can actually bargain 10 for $100 but we were just too tired to scout arounds at other shops) bought at Ladies Market, fridge magnet (a.k.a can opener $10) and the large magnet ($15) were bought at The Peak.

These were our catch of the day @ Disneyland. Lanyard ($75), Disney keychain ($60), Buzz sword ($120), spinning Buzz ($60), Buzz watch ($100), Disney mug ($45 - not in the pic), fridge magnet ($40). The red Disney hp was bought at the airport ($85).

All in all, we spent close to 6k for our whole trip (excluding the air tix & expenses by my mom).

Our overall comment about the trip:

- Transportation-wise very efficient. The MTR arrives on time, its map and route is very easy to understand. But pls pls mind the long pathway that you need to take from one interchange station to another, sgt penat jln ok! Getting around with taxi is cost effective if u travel in 5-6 person. Don’t forget to try out its double-decker tram bus, tak dapat naik kat London tp naik kat sini pun jadiklah! Hehe. You may use the Octopus card to pay for the bus fare and MTR.

- HK people are not friendly at all. They are the type ‘who minds your own business’ and doesn’t care about other people. Even the hotel staffs are not friendly and lack of courtesy. However my SIL said these are their natural behavior and they were just like that. Despite the above, we did meet 2 nice people during our five-day stay in HK. A middle-aged lady who offered a seat in the MTR when she saw me about to squatting down on the train floor to bf Ammar, and also a taxi man that took us back to hotel from the Central station. He chit-chatted with hubby and shared few things about HK and didn’t even mind when we asked him to change our route from Masjid Ammar to The Wesley.

- HK is an expensive city. Everything about HK is expensive, be it the hotel price, food, anything, except for branded items where you can get it at pretty good bargain compared to KL.

- If you’re asking me whether I would want to go again next time, my answer will be no. I guess HK has nothing to shout about, except the Disneyland (and of course the Citygate outlet, a heaven for women! Hehe :p) I rated 7/10 for our HK trip while 9/10 for Gold Coast, taking into account factors like transportation, places of attractions, the people, food, hotel, etc.

Hope the above info helps if not much at least a bit for u to plan ahead for ur HK trip!

what we did over the weekend?

It was a stress-free weekend i'd say.
Simply bec idlan just finished his exam. So the merdeka's mode turned on, dia merdeka, both mama n abah also merdeka yahooo!!

Last week when he did his revision, after few minutes he was like 'penat la, mengantuk la...there was once he felt asleep while holding his exercise book - kes study sambil berbaring :p.

We coaxed him in many ways, telling him -->lepas exam idlan enjoyla sepuas-puasnya..mainla ipad seharian, tgkla tv non-stop...mama ngan abah tak kesah!

So on Saturday, we went to nek umi's house for lunch. But before that, early in the morning i made this cake for a neighbour, for his son's besday.

Right after finished decorating the cake, i made this for our breakfast. It's our family's all-time favourite Nigella's pancake! Slack takde maple sauce in the house, kalau tidak konfem perfecto!! Also macaroni carbonara for Ammar. That lil boy now doesn't eat porridge anymore..sungguh western kan :p

I also managed to bake this NY cheesecake for Su before we headed to Ampang for lunch. Lunch free, some more air tangan mak, sape taknak kan? hehe thanx Umi for the lovely lunch :)

Come Sunday, i was telling hubby...lunch nnt nak masak siakap sweet sour la...dah lama beli tak masak2 lagi (sure dah tak sedap isi dia hoho). But few minutes after that, i was thinking...kalau kuar bebudak ni sure hepi. Hb rarely says no when it comes to family outing, so off we went to Mines around 10am, specifically to its Splash Park located at the 5th flr (siakap tinggal kenangan laa jawabnyer haha).

Oh lupa, pagi tu mama sempat trim rambut Ammar...macam org Penan kan? hehe innocent sket muka!

So we had lunch at Mc D (my eldest two walloped 4 pcs of nuggets each kes lapar baru sudah main air!) and later had a very crispy crepes (opposite Toys City) before we headed home. We chose choc+banana+peanuts filling and the taste is super duper yummilicious...serius sedap sampai lupa amik gambar!! Anyway i've just googled few crepes recipes and will definitely give it a try by this weekend :)

Around 3pm, i made this especially for Firas..kes beli jiwa since he demanded for the besday cake that i delivered to Hazim's mom that morning! iskkk

This is choc banana brownies, transferred into a 7' round pan so that it looks more like a cake, and covered with ganache. Angry birds tu wajib letak! By the time the cake was ready, the kids coincidently just woke up from sleep, so they immediately cut the cake and pulun the edible image. The cake n frosting were still fresh n hot during cutting..first time mkn kek panas baru kuar dari oven!

So that was our weekend stories. Very fulfilling i'd say. I baked 3 cakes, i had outing with the kids, we gathered at my mom's, i managed to complete the ironing while baking the cakes...ahhh sgt stress-free isn't it? :)

HK Day 4: The Peak + Citygate Outlet

Ok peeps, let's continue on our 4th day in the city of HK. As planned in my itinerary, we went to The Peak (also known as Victoria Peak) after having breakfast in our hotel room. We took a cab direct to The Peak Tram Lower Terminus situated at the Garden Road (fare $20). You may also opt for an MTR and stop at Central station, from there you need to walk around 10 minutes to reach the terminus. We bought a 2in1 Combo ticket consisting of return Peak Tram + admission ticket to Madame Tussauds ($185 for adult, $95 for child). There is also a 3in1 Combo ticket with entrance to The Sky Terrace 428 (which allows you to enjoy the panaromic view of the HK city from the highest 360 degree viewing platform in HK.
After waiting for about 20 minutes, we finally boarded the Peak Tram and in just 8 minutes we arrived on top of the Peak.

Once arrived on top of the Peak, we passed thru few souvenir outlets selling all kinds of merchandise and keepsakes. Me and my mom spent more than 1/2 hour looking for few things and walked away with alas meja, tissue cover, more key chains and fridge magnets, bag for telekung, etc. It was very convenient to shop here since the place was air-conditioned, my kids can walk here n there playing around without disturbing their mama. So i was actually having my me-time to shop and belek-belek things in peace :p Sambil belek brg suddenly firas popped up in one of the shops telling me 'abah beli cap utk kite' and when i turned back i saw the three of them wearing a dragon cap hihi. Overall i spent $342 for souvenirs while hubby paid $110 for 3 caps.

After done with our shopping, our next agenda was entry to the Madame Tussauds. Before started with our tour inside the wax museum, meh amik gambar dulu!!!

Ok peeps, that's all for now. Our camera's battery went flat that time and these are the only pics that we have in hand. The rest was all taken using my mom's camera, like Lady D, Michael J, Lady Gaga, the Beatles, Anita Mui, Saddam Hussein, Mahatma Gandhi, Ronaldinho, etc.

I can't remember how long we spent to complete touring the museum, but by the time we finished it was lunch time already. There was a shopping mall on top of the peak, called The Peak Galleria. We had our lunch on the bench outside the mall, and the fact that we were on top and at the highest point of HK, it was super extreme cool time tuh!! cuaca sgt sejuk, sgt windy..kiranya agak struggle jugakla menahan sejuk :p We can see the whole of HK from that point ( no need to pay extra for the Sky Terrace entry actually hehe).

Right after finishing our packed food, we headed towards the Peak Tram to go down and continue our day with shopping at the Citygate Outlet :) To reach here, you need to take the MTR (Tung Chung's line) and stop at the last point, that is Tung Chung station. I think this shopping mall was more or less similar with factory outlet, selling all branded items but at cheaper price. Hubby said the sports shoes are very cheap (eg: Nike, Adidas, etc) so does the original jersey. Hubby and my brother went inside few shops but they ended up buying nothing.

Me? haha i already targeted to spend some of my dollars inside Coach. Anyway, they control the size of the crowds, and people need to queue for few minutes to enter the outlet. So hubby and the rest wait outside while myself went inside alone. I was like crazy and pening lalat to decide what to buy. Kejap pegang itu, then try ini, then pusing lagi dan lagi sampai pening. Serious after 1/2hr i still can't decide what to buy. The cheapest wristlet i can found was selling at $400. Cheapest handbag..hmm bykla jugak but frankly the price is quite cheaper than the one selling at KL boutique. Finally i settled with a purple carry-all, convertible into sling..even tho i've actually minat dekat this one creamy beige handbag yg sgt cantik (but of course price dia pon lagi cantik lah!!).

and we also bought 3 pairs of sandal for the kids at Crocs ($530.40), sgt murah compared to KL.

After Citygate, we took a cab back to hotel from the Central station. Thought of dropping by at Masjid Ammar for dinner, but the weather was not good hence we told the taxi man to change our direction to the Wesley Hotel instead of Masjid Ammar. After dinner, we did the packing and everything, and the very next day around 9am we checked out and off we went to the HKIA by a cab (fare $322).

Day 5: HKIA

Our flight was at 11.35am, but we arrived quite early at the airport. After checked in our luggage, we took a tour inside the airport, and took the opportunity to finish up our HK coins (since i knew when we go back to Malaysia the money exchange won't accept coins and small notes for exchange). So we bought chocolates, ribena, mineral water and also a DIsney handphone for Ammar! ($85 -kira hadiah besday la bley hehe). Anyway, i made a huge mistake since i forgot to return our Octopus card! And there was $50 deposit inside each card u see argh arghhhh geram betul. The card can be used at certain convenience stores (eg: 7 eleven, the Mannings (Guardian), etc and has no expiry date..so we can actually keep the card for our next visit to HK (mau ke dtg lagi? haha rasanye tak kots).

So that's basically wrap our stories about HK. Next i'll post pics of souvenirs that we bought over there okeh!

Ever since our last Ramadhan, I've been actively do some baking activities started with making brownies for my family..then merebak ke jiran tetangga..and lastly berjangkit to few of my colleagues. So now i'd like to announce that myhotstove is back and is ready to take small orders from my lovely friends out there..given 4-5 days prior notification ya!

As for now, i will only accept below cakes for orders...

Hong Kong Day 3

Hong Kong Day 3 - Ocean Park + Ladies Market

Our 3rd day was spent at one of the infamous park in HK i.e Ocean Park. I booked the tickets online from KL, payment made via cc and the website issued a booking slip confirmation. Ticket price is $280 for adult and $140 for child. After having a heavy breakfast in our hotel's room (thanks again to my mom for made us a delicious nasi putih + kari ayam Yeos Chef Wan..mmg terbaekkk!) we took the MTR to Admiralty station. From there we boarded a Citybus (No 629) direct to the park and the journey was only about 10 minutes. We use the Octopus card to pay for the bus fare, $10.60 for adult and $5.30 for child. Applying the same tips and tricks for entry to Disneyland, we hide and covered our foods under the stroller, beneath Ammar, under the kids' caps, inside the pampers, inside our pockets, etc and we passed thru the security without any issue alhamdulillah :)

The queue for the ticket was very long (probably because of weekend). I need to present my confirmation slip together with the credit card used during the booking. It was rainy that time, hence getting around the park with umbrellas in hand mmg sgt leceh ok!

The park is divided into 2 sections – the Summit & Waterfront. We made our first move to the Summit using the express train available at Waterfront station and in just 5-8 minutes we already arrived at the Summit. Alternatively you may also go to the Summit using the cable car (which my mom doesn’t prefer at all sbb takut hehe). The cable car was quite long, and scary, and for those who has allergy towards height, you better choose not to!

We catch our first show of the day, the Sea Dreams at Ocean Theatre. It was a combination of dolphins and sea lions show, but overall it wasn’t impressive at all, at least to my expectation. The dolphins show at GC was far more attractive, with loads of amazing movements made by the participated dolphins. Right after show, we brace thru the rain looking for a covered place to have our lunch. There is quite an extensive number of rides and other attractions available, but because of the rain, we kind of hesitant to try them out.

After lunch, we took the Ocean Express train back to the Waterfront. Thought of entering the Grand Aquarium, one of the park’s main attraction but the queue was damn long. Hence, we walked further and went inside the Giant Panda house, which only houses 2-3 pandas inside there! Adesss sgt hampa ok..igtkan bykla panda dlm tuh. Luckily there are many panda (including the red species) inside the Panda Village, at least we managed to have a close-shot on them! Other than that, we also went inside the Goldfish Treasures, the Chinese Sturgeon Aquarium & attended a Whiskers n Friends Show (sgt bosan, not recommended at all!). We didn’t try any of the rides because of the non-stop rain. Took a family photo with the Panda Mascott and paid $118 to have our pictures in the form of fridge magnet (2 pcs).

My review is kinda short this time huh?
Honestly we didn’t enjoy our visit to this park. Probably because of the rainy day hence there was nothing much that we can do. Takkan nak naik rides with the payung kan..leceh and takut kids demam pulak nanti! And it was really tiring catching up with Firas yg degil takmo pakai cap, sibuk nak pegang payung sendiri sampai langgar org, sibuk rebut payung dgn idlan…iskkk byk lagilah karenah mereka berdua ni. Ammar jugak yg behave all the way dari pagi sampai petang :p

So by 5pm, we decided to go back to hotel for solat jamak and dinner.
The kids had Maggi goreng for dinner (they heart n enjoyed maggi goreng so much ok!!) while us the adult ate nasi goreng if I were not mistaken.

After Maghrib, we took a train to Ladies Market (Mongkok station). The market stretched from Kowloon to Mongkok, very long with rows of small shops selling all sorts of things like souvenirs, toys, perfume, t-shirts, sportswear, etc. Men may find this place as heaven since there're Adidas outlet, Nike & other infamous brands stand proud along the road (people also call this area Sportswear street). We bought HK t-shirt (5pcs for $100), keychain (20pcs for $200), fridge magnet (6pcs for $100), and few toys for the kids. Went into the perfume shops to scout for more perfume but the the place was too cramped with people that i finally gave up and walked out. We spent less than 2 hours here since the kids started to get cranky and tired. Called off the day by taking a train back to Wan Chai.

Yer saya sudah berjalan ok! Walaupun masih belum stabil, tapi setakat dari living hall ke dapur tuh saya dah pass la kiranya :) Jadi lepas ni makin senang saya nak cari mama dalam bilik, kat dapur...etc. Oh 2 hari lepas saya jatuh tangga, berdarah bibir saya huhu. Masa tu abah tgh bz ajar abang Idlan, mama pulak sibuk basuh pinggan...saya pulak sibuk naik tangga dan lepas tu dangggggggg jatuh gedebuk kesian saya menangis bagai nak rak mujur tak benjol sana sini :p

saya sudah 1 tahun 13 hari...masih menyusu badan sepenuhnya sbb susu mama saya terbaik! Abah ckp rambut saya sgt serabai..weekend ni abah nk bawak pegi kedai mamak trim rambut.

Hong Kong Day 2 (part 1) : 1-10-2011

Day 2: HK Disneyland

We had fried rice for brekkie (thanx so much to my mom for taking incharge of all the cookings..mmg marvelous!!) using the Perencah Adabi. Umi also made sandwich (using canned Tuna) and 2 big containers of fried rice for us to tapau and eat in the Disneyland. We knew that it's going to be a long day there, hence we need to spare ourselves with enough food, else we might end up starving since it's difficult to find halal food inside the park. We walked to MTR Wan Chai, took the train to Central and had interchange at Hong Kong's station before heading towards Tung Chung's line. Mind you the MTR is very long from one's end to another (especially at HK station) so be prepared if your kids grumble and complaints of tired walking :p Took another train and stopped at Sunny Bay, before we board onto a special train direct to Disneyland station.

Anyway, just for info the park is divided into 3 sections i.e. Fantasyland, Adventureland & Tomorrowland. Once we entered the park, the very first thing we did is to collect the park Map & highlight the important shows to catch up during the day. Oh did i mentioned that Disneyland prohibit outside foods and drinks, but thanx to the forumers with their info & tips, we managed to pass thru the security without any problem! We placed 2 containers of fried rice beneath Ammar, cover it nicely and let Ammar seat on top of it. As for the sandwich, they were packed and divided into 2 plastics, one was hidden under the stroller, another one inside my mom's handbag. We bring few mineral bottles, and all is hidden separately - under stroller, covered inside the pampers, inside firas's Cars backpack, balut with the kids' t-shirt, etc. We did the same thing for the snacks - we smuggled oreo biscuits, waffer, etc...semua lepas alhamdulillah :) The security will check all your bags, but just act cool and walk straight if they didn't query you okeh! Oh if you're going during winter, your jacket can be the best medium to hide all ur foods n stuffs :)

Our first show of the day was the Golden Mickeys show (@ Fantasyland), featuring all the favourite Disney's characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Ducks, Pluto, Toys Story, Aladin, the Lion King, Beauty & the Beast and many more. I managed to bf Ammar inside the theatre. By the way Ammar cooperated very well thru out the show, so i had no issue to handle him.

another show of the day - Festival of the Lion King @ the Adventureland. The show was quite long, my mom in fact fell asleep after half way hehe. Ammar again enjoyed the show very much..bz main2 lampu dekat tangga audience :)

We also watched the Mickey's 3D Philharmagic show. But honestly, the Shrek 3D show at GC was far more enjoyable than this one. There were many more attractions at the Fantasyland, but we didnt manage to experience some of it due to time contraints and u see, travel with 3 kids you must always expect the unexpected haha. Anyway, we did try some of the rides like the tea cups, flying saucers, etc. Ammar pon naik ok...and again he enjoyed the rides very much! Me and hubby are not the adventurous type who would want to try out the thrilled rides and all, so most of the time we would resort to kids rides sajerk :p

Hong Kong Day 2 (part 2) : 1-10-2011

Right at 3.30pm the Flights of Fantasy Parade started along the parade route @ the Main Street USA. During this time all the Disney characters showed up together with their respective decorated 'vehicles', some of them stopped for few minutes to perform a show.

The parade ended around 4.30pm kots, and we immediately went to the City Hall, asked for a place to perform our prayer, and the hall representative gave us a special room next to the counter. For info there was no surau at the park, as such you need to approach the officials and ask for a room (info from forumer as well). Next to the room is its public toilet, hence we took our wuduk there. In HK, you must spare an empty bottle wherever you go since its toilet doesnt have pipe, so susahlah nak cuci-mencuci hehe. Another way is to use a wet tissue.

After solat jamak, we continued our tour inside the park. This time we had our own sweet time since there was no more shows to catch up after 5.30pm.

Nice to see and eat aren't they?? This is Mickey's waffle, combined with fresh cream, strawberries & choc drizzled..mmg sgt sedap! We also bought fresh corns, ice cream for the kids ($15 each) and soft drinks ($25 per bottle).

This is Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, one of the famous attractions @ Tomorrowland. Main tembak2 naik spaceship buzz dlm indoor yg gelap gelita...best!!

Anyway, Maghrib at HK is 1 hr earlier than Malaysia, hence it's getting dark already by 6.15pm. Pic above is the castle with Tinker Bell Illumination...mmg cantik & glowing especially at night time!

Since they were having a Halloween celebration during the week, there was a Glow in the Park Parade featuring all the 'hantu2' and pumpkins along the parade route at 7.30pm.

Then we went for an enchanted boat ride in It's a Small World and enjoy the scenes thru different cultures far and wide. Lagu yg dipasang along the boat ride mmg comel, sampai sekarang terngiang2 kat telinga :))

Finally the long-awaited Disney in the Stars Fireworks started to fill up the sky exactly at 9.00pm. The view and scenes are simply amazing...mmg sgt cantik! The fireworks lasted for about 1/2 hour, and that basically wrapped up our tour @ the Disneyland.

We walked to the MTR and boarded the train back to Wan Chai. It was really a tiring day (from 10am - 10pm), me and the kids in fact 'duduk bersila' inside the MTR since it was jam-packed with people. I just dont care if people staring at me that time...serius kaki rasa macam nak tercabut! Idlan pon siap tertidur dlm train.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience and activity for us, especially the kids. My mom complaint why the park is too big even tho i told her the Disneyland in HK is actually the smallest amongst other Disneyland :p

Some people are willing to spend 2 days to complete the tour, but for us a day is enough since we're not the type who wants to explore and try out all the rides. The ticket price is $399 for adult, and $285 for child aged 3-11. I booked the ticket online, 2 weeks before our departure. You may also purchase the ticket at The Peak, and the MTR Disneyland station.

Wait for my hk review eh..for time being am quite bz cleaning n replying emails, i've got tonnes of PO pending for my approval, n i oso need to provide comments n feedbacks for 2 pb that has been outsourced to a dear friend!!

N back at home there're 2 baskets full of clothes waiting dearly to be folded...adesss acik rasa sgt bZ ok. Some more next monday our eldest is sitting for his final xm! Mama dah cuak...baru nk suruh anak bukak buku :p

Hong Kong Day 1 - 30 Sept 2011

As promised, here goes the story on our recent trip to HK. Hope this will lil bit helps for those who has plans to go to HK :)

The exchange rate is 100HKD = RM40.4...so do your own calculations ya!

Day 1- Masjid Ammar & Avenue of Stars

Our flight was at 7.05am and we arrived at HKIA around 11am. Had no issue at the immigration and everything went smooth. Once settled collecting our luggage, we went to the info counter to buy the octopus card for MTR ($150 for adult, $70 for kids). I didn't buy a card for firas, my plan is to have him squat down lil bit whenever we walk thru the palang :p or probably just carry him. Next, we took a cab direct to hotel. Fare is $346 to The Wesley Hotel in Wan Chai district. We were quite lucky bcoz the max passenger in a taxi is actually 5, but we travelled in 7 including the kids! Arrived hotel around 1.20pm, and we were allowed to check in. The room is not spacious, the beds are small, but overall is clean. We paid $3575 for 4N inclusive 10% svc charge. Quite pricey huh but this was expected when u visit an expensive city :p

Our kids were all happy and behave well inside the flight :)

Right after doing our solat jamak,we took a cab to Masjid Ammar. It was very difficult to get a cab, but finally we managed to catch one. Arrived masjid ammar just few min b4 3pm, dlm hati dah sedeyy ishh sure x sempat mkn dim sum! We went to its canteen at 5th flr, and alhamdulillah there were still few dim sums left for us! Hubby ordered 10-11 baskets of dim sum, 1 last basket of chicken dumplings, 2 sets of pulut, 1 apam/ sponge cake, 2 glasses of cold ice choc, & 1 fresh orange. Total is $167. Dim sum sgt sedappp, but my mum tak suke hehe.

From there we walked to MTR Causeway Bay to go to TST. Walked along Nathan Road and stopped at Sasa to buy perfume. I bought a 30ml Marina de Bourbon for $328 only. Rambang mata actually since the price is super cheap as compared to kl but am not a die-hard fan of perfme, so beli 1 jelah. People says the price at Bonjour also cheap, so u may check it out over here. Next went to Sogo to find a jet/keta kebal for my brother, but the sogo at TST is not that big n it doesnt hv a section for toys unfortunately.

We continued walking towards Avenue of Stars area for some photos. The scenery was breathtaking & simply amazing, especially during night time. I actually planned to watch the symphony of lights show at 8pm, but since the weather was cloudy & it was only 630pm that time, i dun think we cant afford to wait any longer..the kids were quite restless, so did us. So we decided to have our dinner b4 heading back to hotel. Had dinner at Ziafat restaurant. Lucky their people is waiting at the nathan road area distributing the pamplets, if not i doubt we can find the restaurant since its location was quite hidden. We had 1 mandi chicken ($65), 1 chicken briyani ($58), 1 mineral water ($10), 2 orange juice ($60) & 1 mint tea($15). Total is $228, quite pricey but satisfying plus the portion is big. A plate of rice can be shared wt 2 person. Took the MTR at TST and stopped at Wan Chai..then we walked about 6-7 min to the hotel and that's the end of day 1.

29.9.2011 - Our Ammar turns 1 today!!

This lil precious of ours turns 1 today!! How time flies kan?

Bila dikenang kisah dulu, mengandungkan Ammar tidaklah sesusah mana. Alhamdulillah sihat walafiat je, cuma berat mama tak byk naik (10kg je tak silap) kes bz ganti puasa qada' utk 2 tahun berturut-turut.

Time bersalin, mama menahan sakit selama 6 jam di wad di tengah2 mlm di kala abah, abang2 mu & nek umi tidur...kes labor room penuh. Tak silap, mama bersalin kan awak di dlm bilik recovery room utk OT ...tu pun mujur nurse dan midwife sempat sediakan peralatan, kalau tidak haaahh konfem mama bersalin dalam wad jer :p

Membesarkan mu tidaklah sesusah mana. Kelam kabut itu perkara biasa, tapi syukur mama ada abah (read: super abah) yg hebat menguruskan abang2 mu yg lain. Jadi mama mmg dapat concentrate menjaga awak sahaja...kira dpt full attention la nih! No wonder awak sangat manja dan very the clingy ehhhhhh...siap sondol2 ke badan mama macam nk masuk dlm perut je!

Kamu membesar sebagai seorang baby yg sihat..even though mula2 dulu mama dan abah sgt risau sebab kamu ni ada G6PD. Jarang sakit, seingat mama adalah kamu demam 4-5x, paling lama demam 2 hari..paling kejap sehari. Syukur syukur. Tapi kamu ni senang sangat dpt selesema...tapi takper, harap2 bila besar esok badan kamu makin kebal, boleh lawan sumer kuman2 dan virus itu!!!

Oh kamu juga masih fully breastfeed! alhamdulillah Allah kurniakan susu yg mencukupi buat kamu. Walaupun dlm deep freezer cuma tinggal 3 paperbag besar mengandungi EBM, mama akan terus berusaha utk menyusukan kamu selama mungkin. Indah betul bila time awak menyusu, sebelah mata mu mengintai mama, kamu senyum2 sambil mulut masih menghisap B* mama. Adakala kamu menyusu sambil position merangkak, uish macam2 aksi kamu..semua tu menjadi kenangan yg paling indah dlm kotak memori mama!

Doa mama dan abah, moga kamu terus membesar menjadi budak yg sihat, menjadi adik yg baik, dan sentiasa dilindungiNya. Membesarlah kamu menjadi seorang yg beriman, bijak akal fikiran dan sentiasa berpegang teguh kpd agamamu.

Last but not least, ingatlah yg mama, abah, abang Idlan & abang Firas sangat SAYANG kamu!!!

The blog has been kept silent for quite sometime. Apology for my lesser updates...at times i do feel like closing down the blog for no concrete reason. Like what i said to my friends, i just lose the energy to write. or maybe i dont have anything interesting to share with u all. Or maybe i'm bz making cakes n brownies haha.

Anyway these are few pics (credit to my jiran Sherry) taken during our taman's open house last Saturday. Unlike last yr, this time the concept was pot luck hence every mommies of the house must bring at least 1 dish for the jamuan. Me as usual made brownies and muffin..tu je skill yg reti :p I personally think pot luck is way much better than last yr when we outsource the main dish to caterers. Bila pot luck lagi byk variety :))

Our open house ended close to midnight. Syukur everything went well. We had enough time to catch up with each other (some of us actually meet once in a yr and this open house definitely met its objective of merapatkan silaturrahim sesama jiran haha), we had variety of foods be it malay style or western's (siap ada mushroom soup n bruchetta!), and the kids had a blast fun playing with each other.

To all my jirans, luv u all! Till we meet again on next yr's Syawal insya Allah :)

Deep Freezer Faber

En Faber sudah secara rasmi menjadi penghuni baru di rumah kami. Proses pemindahan frozen EBM sudah selesai, dan En Mistral bakal dipulangkan ke pangkuan tuan empunya dia minggu depan. Terima kasih bebyk yer Zue dari akak dan pruzz...byk dan besar sungguh jasa En Mistral buat Ammar dan kami :)

Chest/deep freezer Faber ni kami beli dekat Tesco Kajang, harga RM599. Siapa yg tengah dlm proses survey freezer tu, bley la pergi Tesco tu yer :)

Oh yes, as per past years, the open house for 'jiran' has kick-start last night. We covered 2 houses, starting with the last row. The comrades gathered in front of my house around 840pm, and we begin our konvoi together with the kids. Last night's makan2 ends around 10.15pm, and tonight we shall continue with more house. Our turn will be on next Friday hehe (was thinking to fry macaroni & bake a brownies if time permits).

The kids enjoyed themselves to the max, so did the mommies n daddies. Seronok culture macam ni, like people says jiran sepakat membawa berkat kan!! Apart from that, we also plan to do pot luck during end of Syawal, where we will do some collections to rent the tents and buy paper plates n cups.

This weekend is already full with activity. I hope the kids savour the spirit of Syawal and program ziarah ni and understand the benefits of it. Like last night after the second house, idlan asked me 'lepas ni rumah sape pulak mama?' and i said "lepas ni balik la sambung esok pulak". I bet the two of them must be really looking forward for tonight's jalan2 raya :)

Kek Lapis Sarawak - Masam Manis

My very first kek lapis Sarawak turns out well yeyyy!!!! BUT (mine the big cap hehe) it took me a good 6 hours in the kitchen just to finish up layering the whole cakes. My oh my, i keep on telling myself, why am i deciding to do this cake in the first place??? Sakit pinggang, sakit kaki, siap bersandar tepi dinding dan tido, sempat mandikan Ammar, feed him, had few rounds of breastfeeding...huhhh memacam lagilah. I started as early as 7.30am, and only managed to have these specialty cakes around 2.30pm..just imagine u ols, kalau tido dah boleh termimpi-mimpi dahhhh!!

Anyway, the recipe was given by mak (i.e. my MIL). I weigh each layer around 80g to get that equal size. Since i still hv few leftover for the batter, decided to alter the recipe a bit and made a cocoa mocha layer cake....hehehe taste good as well, at least to my liking lahh :)

Oklah, enjoy the pics...takdela cun sgt, for a beginner kan! If i can recalled this evening i vowed that this will be my first n the last kek lapis! Next yr beli sajela..but after i had that first bite after iftar, hmmmm probably i'm willing to give it another go next time...penat yg memang berbaloi-baloi!!!

Tadaaaaa...my very own Cocoa Mocha Layer Cake :) A combination of mocha emulco, chocolate emulco n cocoa powder, with lil bit of yellow and brown coloring for the layers

slice the cakes into two, and layer it with peanut butter & grape...hehe sukahati wat kek lapis version sendiri :p

from the looks, i know there're lots more to improve betul tak? :p

Operasi mengemas rumah hari ni. Tergerak hati nak bukak rak kasut, dan keluarkan mana2 yg tak patut sbb rak dah semput dan penuh sesgt...En Hb pun dah bising2 tuuuhhh. Bila disusun, uh uhhhh tak sangka i have soooo many shoes!!! There're more not in the pic actually ngeeeeee :p

This is my all-time favourite amongst all..hadiah dari En Hb tapi of course saya yg pilih la :)

Ramai dah cuti, i know i know. Badan masih di ofis, tapi mind and soul jauh melayang fikir Raya :p Tomorrow shall be a very busy day for us, spring cleaning the whole house, packing, baking, sweeping and mooping, everything lahhhh!

Secara tak rasmi myHotStove kembali beroperasi..tak sangka plak secepat ini hihi. I thought mood rajin akan menjelma bila Ammar dah besar sket...probably after 1 year. Tapi minat & satisfaction punyer pasal...layanzz sajerlah :)

Hah, tak ingat dah berapa lama oven myHotStove bercuti...rasanya sudah berbulan-bulan...ke dah setahun eh..ntahla..blog tu pun dah lama sunyi sepi :p Biasala, sejak kehadiran si Ammar Fitri dlm keluarga kami, mama macam tak menang tangan nak spend masa lama2 di dapur. Cuma bulan Ramadhan ni je mama terover rajin sket...nk kejar pahala memasak utk family kots hihi

So ni adalah hasil terbaru dari myHotStove sempena cuti Nuzul Quran hari tuh. Resipi baru, inspired by my dear friend, but of course me being me, suka alter the recipe lil bit here n there utk menepati citarasa sendiri. Dan hasilnya wah wahhhhh cedappppp acik suke. Dan ini testimoni dr jiran depan rumah...kembang semangkuk bila acik baca post dia :p

Dan ini kek batik for a dear friend (u know who u are hihi) yg mane saya berhutang dgn dia sejak Ramadhan tahun lepas rasanya. Tapi biasala, last yr sarat dgn si kecik tuh..jd malas nak buat utk kengkawan :p

Tinggal beberapa hari je lagi dah nk habis Ramadhan hukhuk.

Semalam Ustaz Nizam dari TV9 ada kasik ceramah dekat ofis, kata dia kalau nak cari malam Lailatulqadar, jgnla timing mlm2 ganjil like hari ke 21, 23, 25, 27...byk para ulama' target malam 27 Ramadhan. Tapi kalau kita sibuk nk timing dan target, mungkin sampai ke sudah kita tak dpt nak ketemu dgn malam yg sebenar. Jadi pesan ustaz sebaiknya kita buat amal ibadat setiap mlm...bukan malam yg tertentu sahaja. Paling penting, ikhlas kerana Allah......:)

17 Ramadhan...

Which also equivalent to Nuzul Quran. So how was ur Ramadhan so far? Some of my tracking progress goes below:
- reading Quran : am not doing any better than last yr. Baru juzuk 6...far away from the target. Normally i'll read right after subuh, and during lunch hr at the office.
-terawikh : just like the prevoius yr, i'll do the terawkh at home. This yr, most of the time i perform the solat before sahur, simply becos i sleep early...tidurkan ammar n myself pon terus tertidur huhu!
- iftar : am a good girl since i cook almost everyday. Missed out cooking for 3 days but the rest is all home- cooked. Taste-wise pon ok alhamdulillah. Yesterday's mee kuah sedappp, kari ayam also sedap bak kata hb n idlan..lelain pon all menjadi hihi. I guess it's purely due to the keberkatan in the ramadhan itself that makes me super rajin. But i bet after raya the kitchen will be put on rest...probably till the ramadhan next yr! Haha
- i miss baking so much!!! No home- made raya cookies this year cos all kuih tunjuk2 saje definitely. But i promise to myself to try out this new-found recipe which i bet must be very delish! Here to go the choc banana bottom square brownies n hawflakes layer cake!! Will review when am done with that ya :))
- my EBM output is not as much as during the normal days, but alhamdulillah the frozen stocks are more than enough to cater for ammar's daily needs. The 1st two day of ramadhan was terrible since i was sooo dehydrated, but days after that everything is back to normal. I guess the body can adjust already :) pumping session done only twice a day at the office. Will go back to the regime 3x pumping after raya nnt :)

That's it for now. I'm on leave today since the school n taska is closed today. Got two big piles of clothes to fold up, and yesss it's gonna be the banana choc brownies as dessert for today's iftar...x sabarnyer!!!!

Ok this is one hel* real life experience, take a deep breath before u scroll down further ya!

It was yesterday that we decided to break our fast outside, simply because my dear amir firas who has been down for fever for 4 days requested to have ‘spaghetti kuah putih’ for dinner. Kesian kat anak yg makin mengurus sbb hilang selera makan, plus mama is just too lazy to cook anything for iftar, we headed to Jusco Cheras Selatan then. Went to Pizza to do the booking, FULL. Second option is Kenny Rogers, also FULL. Adesss finally we went to SR. It’s only 6pm during that time and most of the eateries are already full..perghh ramai yg berbuka kat luar ni rupanya!

So we were ushered to the allocated table, browse thru the menu, when Ammar started to crying (kes sudah ngantuk tahap gaban). After told mr hubby what I want, I took the kids outside, with ammar inside the stroller. Me and the kids were about to walk to Auntie’s Annes kiosk when suddenly few people running right in front of us and shouted ‘perompak perompak!!’. More and more people running and heading to the main door and there you go, 3 tall and thin men (very young I bet) wearing a black mask running in front of us (just a few meters apart), carrying a rectangular shape ATM machine. Followed by a pak guard (only has a baton in hand, no gun whatsoever) who keeps on shouting ‘woiii woiiii!!’ to stop the robbers but hey setakat suara pak guard tu apelah yg perompak tu nak takut kan!

Me and idlan was stunned, myself initially think ‘ehh ni real ke shooting drama ni’. Simply because some of the running women tu ade yg menjerit muka takut, ade yg gelak2 macam berlakon hehe. Idlan stood still, unmoved. I was infact ‘bertentang mata’ dgn one of the guy sbb kebetulan dia pandang to my face. Dusss the incident happened too fast that I pun macam blur2 jadiknya hehe. Lucky there was no gun shots whatsoever, if not me and the kids probably might get shooted because we were standing just few metres dr perompak tuh!

So that’s it guys, story utk hari ini dari seorang saksi yg tak bertauliah hehe. I told hubby, senang rupanya nak rompak atm machine inside the shopping mall, because all the pak guards are not equipped with guns …setakat kayu baton utk pukul org tu je. After the incident, the spot was swarmed by so many pak guards, but I believe they just cant do anything. And that 3 perompak mmg sgt daring, because they did it time org sgt ramai..but that gives them an advantage to run escape betul tak??

So ade berani mau buka puasa kat luar lagi tak? Haha

Hari yg mencabar for me for the past few days.

Started from Monday-Tuesday, I was away the whole day for the Maybank charity sales carnival. Tiring, dan sangat lembik satu badan, but Alhamdulillah the crowds turned out to be awesome, and we managed to collect quite a lot! Syukur!! A whole new experience meeting up with new people, know their ragam and all, cumanya sampai sekarang macam tak percaya, waahhhh penat giler rupanya berdiri jaga booth!! Balik rumah mmg flat tak larat masak huhu.

The very same Tuesday morning, while I was on the way to the booth, I got a phone call from somebody from the company, asking me to become a witness for a case which the session scheduled to be held today. Nervous makcik, coz I am representing my division, and if I slip out something which I shouldn’t, the whole team may get the consequences. I pray that today I can talk and act likes a pro, and that the truth prevails….and the convict get penalized for his wrongdoings. May Allah helps me throughout the session…amin.

And oh, the birthday boy was down for a fever n flu since yesterday. Still demam today, but we need to send him to taska since hubby got class, and me got to attend the session. Anyway hubby already prepared some goody bags for him to share with his friends, hope that at least can cheer him up :)

It's the 6th day of Ramadhan already. Alhamdulillah so far we're doing good (read: me, hubby, idlan). Despite me having migrain everyday, i still managed to complete the puasa. And cook for the family! :)

Yesterday we decided not to eat nasi, so i resorted to mee goreng only and hubby went to bazar ramadhan for some kuih. Hubby said my fried mee sangat sedap, Firas tambah 2x, Idlan hmm tak payah ckp mee goreng has always become his all-time favourite.

Sejuk mata memandang...bila mereka makan dgn penuh selera, tambah, pinggan licin!
Hilang penat lelah keletang keletung di dapur walaupun migrain di kepala masih belum hilang :p

Moga air tangan mama dan amalan makan bersama di meja ni dpt menambah keberkatan di bulan yg mulia ini insya Allah.

Menu hari ini - udang lemak cili api, sayur campur, ayam goreng berempah, cream caramel, sirap bandung. waaaa baru kol 7.33am dah pk menu berbuka :p

Me and Ramadhan

This yer Ramadhan was the worst for me so far.

1st day got migraine, my body ached all over, felt so dehydrated that i felt like collapse whenever i stand for few minutes. Hence an EL for me then. But still i cooked for the family, ayam black pepper & a simple sup sayur, also kek batik as dessert :)

2nd day way much better, i felt energetic the whole day, probably bcoz i drank a lot during the iftar and sahur. Our menu - cencaru sumbat cili, telur dadar & sayur masak lemak.

3rd day was the worst. If not because of carpool with two other colleagues, i would have gone back way earlier. Migraine giler, rasa nak muntah, loya..everything! After iftar zaaassss pengsan sampai ke 430am, baru bgn solat isyak n prepare for sahur. Terus miss terawikh for that night huhu.

4th day - i am taking EL today!! Hubby's bike was sent to a workshop, TNB is doing power maintenance at the kids' taska hence no power for 4 hours, and i just need to have a break. So here i am jotting down some notes after managed to put the kids into sleep hihi. Will be cooking either paprik or tomyam and cream caramel for today's iftar insya Allah....

I never thought puasa while bf is as tough as this. Some people are doing just fine, unlike myself yg asyikla migraine huhu. In fact i was wayyyy much better last year, fasting the whole month while carrying ammar from 33-37 weeks. No EL, no migraine, and i cooked almost everyday without fail.

So i take it as dugaan for this year...and will try my best to puasa in full despite sakit yg datang tu insya Allah.

Alhamdulillah, after days of doing extensive review on the hotels (taking into consideration the costs, location, facilities, n of course our budget!) and some quick snap on the MTR map, i am done wth the booking! Lega sgt..it's like half of the burden uplifted fr my shoulder hehe! Next is to prepare my own kitab, n plan for the itinerary :) and probably doing some tix booking from here!

Lilin recycle dari last year hihi. Edible Ben10 beli ready made dari Yummie RM7.50. M&Ms pakai 2 packs.

Ni time besday 1 year. Chocolate moist home-made, deco pon sendiri. Edible order online yg customized punyer...tak igt dah brape harga. Gambar abang kena letak jugak, barulah fair kata orang :p

Ni time besday 2Y. Ohh nampak gaya mama dah start malas. Kek Indulgence import dari SR, mama cuma beli ready made edible, then pipe kan tulisan sket. Nampak tak lilin tuh...haa tu la lilin yg mama guna utk this year jugak! hihi lepas guna, basuh elok2 dan simpan....tahan sampai sekarang!

Akak tu pandang macam terkejut...lepas tu dia kata...ha ok jom masuk sini.

Dgn happynyer inform umi dan mak..tema tahun ni kaler purple sbb mama dah beli kurung ready made kaler tu. Tapi last week bila pegi jln Tar nk cari bj melayu kekanak tu, susah nk dpt kaler purple utk mereka bertiga (termasuk si abah). Last skali, kami belasah amik kaler yg available utk kekanak bertiga tu..jadiklah tema brown! Dan nasib baik size abah pun ade :) paling best, dpt good bargain...kain dahla jenis mahal tp dpt 60% off sbb nk clear old stock. Belasah la stok lama pun, janji kain cun dan sumer size ade!!

Dannnn si mama, dgn rela hati beli sepsg lg kurung moden kaler brown..kes nk matching nyer pasal hehe tq Yang!!! Jadi ini bermakna mama sudah ade 5 psg bj baru muahaha kes balas dendam sbb last yr tgh sarat preggie..di pagi raya pakai jubah hitam jer, tu pun pinjam umi nyer kih kih!

Entry tertangguh. Dah lama niat utk share kan tips ini, tapi asyik tak sempat je.
Beberapa minggu lepas (atau minggu lepas ke? oh teruk betul memori saya sekarang!) saya ada keluar sekejap dari ofis utk mendengar ceramah ini, yg diadakan di surau Menara dan disampaikan oleh 2 org ustaz dari xxx. Jom kita tengok apa tips yg diberikan utk mendapat sebuah keluarga yg bahagia!

1. Memberi salam
2. Solat berjemaah
3. Makan bersama-sama (sangat digalakkan menggunakan tangan, bukan sudu dan garfu kerana air tangan drpd makanan yg dikongsi itu sangat baik utk kita sesama ahli keluarga! Ikan seketul dicubit dan dikongsi bersama...hah begitulah contohnya! :)
4. Majlis ilmu - sebaiknya disampaikan oleh si ayah. Atau si ibu. 5 minit selepas solat pun jadilah. Tidak perlu satu sesi majlis yg formal..cukuplah anak-beranak berkumpul dan mendengar sedikit tazkirah dr ibu bapa.
5. Banyakkan membaca Al-Quran
6. Banyakkan berzikir

Sekian utk kali ini. Semoga dpt manfaat, dan semoga kita menjadi insan yg lebih baik daripada hari kelmarin insya Allah.

because of few things:

1. Pergi site survey dekat manhole pagi tadi. Konon nak turun masuk ke dalam guna tripod tu, tapi agak bahaya takut equipment tu tak stable, pastu kena pakai baju perkakas, topeng tutup gas sumer...ish malas la. Next time saya upload gambar ok.

2. My age according to the scale machine is 24! Sangat muda yer acik suke!!!! Tapi paling penting, fat composition level & visceral fat level below borderline..alhamdulillah takyah risau dah pasni hehe. So Aini (aka pakar penasihat kesihatan kami) nanti bila rajin silalah update result kami semua yer tq dear!!

of so many things!

1. Esok mak mertua nak datang, mlm ni baru kelam kabut nak lipat 3 bakul kain.
2. Bilik sepah, baru kelam kabut nak kemas.
3. Idlan sakit gigi geraham...abah check rupanya macam dah nak rosak (berlubang sket). Silap haribulan terus kena cabut esok lusa ni.
4. Idlan dah pakai spek. Pakar kata bukan rabun, tapi astig (eh betul ke eja ni?)...kes silau.
5. Ammar semakin attach dgn mama, makin kronik rasa. Susah nak buat keje asyik nak kena belek dia jer huhu
6. EBM skang dah berkurangan berbanding dulu. Average 15oz daily. Ammar kurang minum, lebih suka makan! Stok masih banyak, insya Allah cukup utk jangka masa panjang. Tapi pening sebab lepas raya nak kena pulangkan deep freezer kpd ....ehem ehem. Perlu beli barukah???? iskkkk
7. Pukul 11.30am tadi, macam hari ini dalam sejarah pulak setelah sekian lama tak pergi majlis ilmu, Allah gerakkan hati pergi ke surau Menara utk dengar ceramah pasal Keluarga Bahagia Pemangkin Kecemerlangan. Next time saya akan kongsikan sedikit sebyk nota yg dicatit tadi. Rasa lapang dada, rasa tenang hati dan fikiran, rasa insaf seketika.
8. Esok pagi, lagi sekali macam hari ini dalam sejarah, saya tergerak hati nak pergi site survey utk salah satu equipment yg hendak saya beli. Sejak setahun setengah duduk Procurement, rasanye boleh dikira dgn jari berapa kali saya 'sudi' turun ke site. Most of the times, saya akan cuba mengelak dan memberi 1001 excuse (kes malas keluar ofis hehe). Tapi saya dah pesan kat user, kalau nak pegi site survey kat stesen Ulu Kali (dekat Genting Highlands) jgn lupa ajak saya!! Atau pun Bukit Pelingdung...atau pun Langkawi! Bila la agaknya boleh merasa melawat kilang kat oversea...kan best kalo budget division saya besar...confirm dah merata saya pergi :p

Ok sebelum berangan dgn lebih panjang, baik saya masuk tido. Esok nak pegi site kan hehe!

Emm takdelah best sgt eskrem dia...texture tak milky and creamy macam eskrem dekat Mc D. Idlan pun ckp eskrem Mc D lagi best! Eskrem dekat Ice Room ni texture dia macam kasar (lebih byk ice hence the name ice room kots). Food pun so-so sajer. Kami order strawberry milk shake tapi taste lebih kpd rasa smoothies...again terlalu icy dan kurang milky.

Blueberry ice cream - texture eskrem kurang best tapi disebabkan dah bubuh blueberry, nuts & raisin, overall taste kira ok la! Ingatkan nak order peanut ice cream yg Halim pernah mkn dulu, tp dah kenyang sgt so next time la kots.

Fried durian pancake - ha yg ni mmg highly recommended! Isi durian yg digoreng dan disalut tepung ala Adabi...mmg sedap :)

Spaghetti creamy carbonara - gravy dia rasa macam mushroom soup, rasanye mmg dia bubuh mushroom soup sket kot haha...not recommended tp Idlan kata sedap sbb ni mmg favourite food dia :)

Spicy prawn fried mee - is not spicy at all haha! Tapi okla, yg ni pruz suke idlan pun suke :)

Total bill around RM45++ for a tea, ok ke tak tuh? hehe

Sabtu yg penuh dgn aktiviti.....

1. Klinik An-Nur - amik ubat Ammar. Sesema still tak ok..kahak ada sikit.
2. Metro Kajang - konon nak buat spek Idlan, tapi sales girl dekat England Optical tu kata tak boleh buat utk budak below 11yr..sebab result tak accurate. Advise jumpa specialist.
3. Alamanda - nak lunch dekat Metro Kajang macam bosan, so off we went to Alamanda & lunch dekat sini. Nampak Remi Ishak tgh buat promo perfume Dashing...emm takdela hensem sgt pun...agak gelap :p
4. Ptg semua tido kepenatan. Lepas maghrib pegi pasar mlm pulak :p Akibatnya 3 bakul kain langsung tak berjaya dilipat muehehe

highly recommended! Alabama choc wth peanut wth whipped cream...sedap giler!

We were here 1 yr ago during Firas's birthday, those time we chose Seafood platter (fried version). This time around we pick the grilled one, konon mahu mengurangkan kolesterol. The oyster tastes good...confirm bley telan :p

dengan timbunan baju & barang2 dari Guangzhou.

Tadi 3 orang jiran dtg ke rumah...siap salahkan saya sebab derang pun turut serta mabuk. Derang kata, lepas ni takyah pi shopping kat Sogo, bley shopping ngan saya jer hihi.

Saya mc hari ni, migrain teruk sgt. Duk rumah konon nak rehat, tp bila tidur, bertambah sakit kepala. Jadi niat nak kemas bilik idlan (sebab next week mak mertua nak dtg, mesti derang pening kalo tgk bilik bersepah :p)...tapi bila jiran serbu, program kemas rumah terbengkalai.

antara sudut bilik yg bersepah..bilik Idlan jadi mangsa :p

ni antara yg diletak dekat family hall....

ok cukup, kalo saya letak gambar lagi korang mesti ckp...eiii bersepahnye rumah Yati!

Saya kira, kalau cuti 3 bulan baru sempat ambil gambar dan kemas semua brg2 tu kots...okla tu, kira saya amik stok utk setahun punyer sebelum pegi ke China lagi taun depan! hihi

tapi dlm banyak2 barang....ni yg paling saya suke....

animal booties yg pelbagai color dan corak...sgt cumels!! kalau saya giler, mau everyday saya tukar design yg berlainan utk si Ammar :p

dan ini...musical toys yg bley digantung dekat stroller. Tapi malangnye Ammar tak layan toy2 cumel ni..dia lagi suke kertas & pen :(

Kpd kengkawan yg mau shopping utk Raya nanti, jangan malu2 singgah umah saya. Bley jamu mata dan mabuk seperti saya!

Kalau berminat nak buat biz, haa bley jugak roger saya...sesama kite cari part-time income...manelah tahu dari part-time bley jadi full-time plak suatu hari nanti sape tau kan :)

1. Kena tumbuk Jumaat lepas di sekolah dan patah sebatang gigi di baris bawah. Dulu 2 ketul gigi kapak, now gigi bawah pulak. Cerita dia, berebut tempat di kantin dgn budak kelas lain. Bila tanye kenape tak lawan balik..dia ckp 'idlan dah sakit sangat, terus pegi toilet utk kumur...gigi lain pun sakit sangat!" Dia ada inform guru kelas, kemudian guru tu nasihatkan budak yg terlibat. Mama bila dengar cerita camni, agak panas hati nih!!

2. Sabtu - School's Muzakarah Day aka hari berjumpa guru dan mengambil report card murid-murid. Kami dah pasang niat nak face to face dgn parents budak tu, tapi malangnya tak terjumpa pulak budak tu isk isk. Minta guru kelas refer case ke PK, supaya PK nasihatkan sket budak tuh. Anyway, alhamdulillah result idlan ok...no 2 dalam kelas, average marks 95%, no 13 dalam keseluruhan aliran 1 out of 180++ murid.

Kalau ikut briefing dr pengetua, selepas ini dah takde exam/test lagi dah. Murid akan dinilai dari semasa ke semasa di dlm kelas, lepas tu ada la record book utk setiap murid. Waaa pasni idlan relaks la...tak payah kena paksa study kat umah! hehe. Idlan mmg ade cerita, kalau subjek Sains, jarang belajar guna buku. CIkgu lebih byk buat kuiz dlm kelas. Oh kami tanye cikgu, "macam mana idlan dlm kelas yer?" Cikgu kata dia ok..aktif...tapi manja!! Yer si sulung kami ni memang manja dan sensitif...suka benar suruh cikgu telefon mama & abah bila sakit sket2 :p Ari tu cikgu call mama sebab dia sakit kepala..bila mama ambil, tengok macam dah sihat je...bila bawak pegi Jusco bertambah sihat dia! isk iskk

3. Esok & lusa, ada Minggu Bakat di sekolah. Kata Idlan, hari Isnin dia akan jadi ketua utk pertandingan lagu di antara kelas. Tajuk lagu : Colors. Selasa pulak, dia jadi wakil kelas utk pertandingan baca Al-Quran. Lepas tu dia kata nanti ade kuiz...boleh pergi sekolah leftenan adnan lawan kuiz...dia masuk katanya. Bila tanye kuiz subjek ape...dia cakap "ntahla idlan dah lupa". Hai anak...kadang2 mama konfius nak percaya ke tidak ape awak ckp :p

4. Kena pakai spek. Patutla slalu mengadu sakit kepala. Pertama kali dlm sejarah keluarga mama ni ade orang pakai spek :p Itula kamu, suka sangat baca komik sambil baring, dan baca dlm gelap. Tengok kartun kat tv9 tu jangan cakapla, selagi tak tutup tv tu selagi tu kamu melekat dari pagi-petang tak heran orang lain dah! Mujur abah tak pasang Astro..kalau tidak memang jadi hantu tv terus. Ammar, bronchio & many more

So many things happened these past few days..so let's take a short & quick notes before I forget and lose the energy to write :p

1. Ammar had a bronchiolitis! He developed flu for 2-3 days, followed by cough, went to my mom’s house last Sunday and ‘menjulur’ on the carpet and finally on the same night he got a severe and continuous cough attack that he can hardly sleep throughout the night (so did his mama, so I got a migraine the very next morning hoho). Oh he also had diarrhea on the same day, which I suspected probably due to infection since he now moves everywhere and pick up things that fascinate him :p The doc puts him on neb twice per day, and today he is getting better alhamdulillah! Nevertheless the medication is still ongoing - ventolin, ubat selsema & ubat lelah as prevention...as well as Smecta for his diarrhea. He pulls drama every time nak kasi ubat, cian anak mama!!

2. Me got migraine long ago but this time I consulted the doc specifically for migraine case. He was like astonished when I said all this while I relied on ‘ponstan’. Ponstan is a big no-no yer friends, he forbid me for taking ponstan and instead gave me a ‘systematic-kind-of-treatment’ for migraine. I am given ubat khas utk migraine which I forgot the name already, and asked me to see him again should the medication doesn’t work. He even mentioned on doing ‘CT scan’ which scared me like hel* already hoho!

3. My eldest complaints dia selalu pening, so hubby brought him to opto shop and did an initial screening. The shop person said his power is 25:50, but couldn't produce an accurate result since Idlan's answer was somehow inconsistent and unreliable :p We will bring him for further check up, and later decide whether he will be a 'mat-specky' or not.

4. My boxes shipped via cargo from China have arrived at my mom's yesterday alhamdulillah! Selamat jua akhirnya. So stay tune yer kengkawan, i'm gonna slowly upload the items from time to time at http://yatiscloset.blogspot.com. Boleh shop2 for your upcoming Raya! :)

5. Puasa and Raya is just around the corner how time flies, and we still haven't decide on our color theme hehe. This year is somehow important, as we're now five..and i just couldn't wait seeing my four boys especially ammar wear that tiny baju melayu :) Siapa belum ganti puasa, it's time to launch the puasa marathon yer friends. Lucky i didn't owe anything since last year i was pregnant with ammar and managed to puasa in full syukur :)

oklah, kata short & quick but this is quite long don't u think so?? hoho i just couldn't stop writing when i start...so pen off now, mau breakfast dulu yer permisi!

jatuh katil!

Hari ini dalam sejarah, Ammar jatuh katil pagi tadi!!
Dusss lengkap rekod ketiga-tiga anak teruna mama pernah jatuh katil :p

Ammar memang tidur di bilik atas. Dan sejak dia pandai bergerak ala2 askar maju ke hadapan, saya memang akan kepung keempat-empat penjuru katil dgn bantal.

Tapi nampak gayanya, benteng sudah berjaya ditembusi dan dimusnahkan! huhu

Lepas dia jatuh tu, bunyi berdentum kuat giler diikuti dgn tangisan yg seperti tidak terkeluar suara. Hubby terus berlari ke atas, dan nampak Ammar sudah terlentang di atas lantai.
Bibir dia bengkak, ada sedikit darah beku, sebab terkena gigi. Bengkak besar bak paruh burung, hinggakan bila senyum tak nampak gigi comel 4 batang di atas yg sudah semakin besar tu. Nak minum susu pun dia menangis...lepas 1/2jam kot baru dia mahu minum.

Doktor kasi ubat sapu, dan ubat oral legakan bengkak.
Dan malam ni, bengkak sudah surut walaupun kesan darah beku masih ada berbaki.

Sori sayang, salah mama! Lepas ni awak tidur kat bawah atas tilam jela yer huhu

p/s: Ada orang tu jadi Johan Bola Tampar utk Taman Sutera. Waahhh minggu lepas Johan dekat MMU, now Johan taman pulak. Dah hepi tu, blanjer mama ipad2 la mahu????

1st tri exam

Alhamdulillah, my boy got no 2 in his class for the last 1st trimester exam :)

He got A for all subjects except Seni, where his teacher gave him B for his mother's day card work. Gud job sayang!

Mama and Abah love u loads!

Well even if you dont get top 10 in class, we still luv u unconditionally :)

p/s: Now it's proven that the short, last minute 1-week crash course (aka latih tubi) works for him hehe. Okla tu, at least that's what worked for me during my uni time :p Some more his upcoming final exam which scheduled in October is only few days after we got back from our HK trip...kesian dia terpaksa study kat hk kot nanti? hoho

Melaka the Historical City : 11-12 June 2011

A short, yet a memorable trip i'd conclude.

We went to Melaka (specifically MMU) because hubby got a volley match with the Melaka team as a preparation to select players to rep MMU during the upcoming inter-GLC Universities Match. To cut it short (well am not good in telling stories about sports so let's just make it short n simple hihi) after a 'heart-wrenching' 5 games hubby's team won the match! kuddos Yang tak sia-sia kitorang tunggu dekat 4jam dlm kepanasan tu :p

The game finished around 12.30pm, right afterwards the boys had themselves freshen up and changed at the surau. Lama dah tak jejak surau MMU, when i looked at the notice board and the surroundings, a strange feeling struck inside...uh uh how i've left all those usrah things and all..sadis bila fikir :(

Had our quick lunch at Jusco (semah ijah - korang igt tak kita ramai2 naik beskal gi Jusco tuh? hoho sgt gigih ok!) and settled ourselves at Kings Hotel (in Bukit Beruang area) at 3pm. Hubby got us a superior room with a queen bed+1 super single bed, more than suffice to accomodate the 5 of us :) The rate is RM169 only yer (booked via Agoda), with the new furnishing, clean room, comfy bed, good food...we got nothing to complaint to be honest. i personally rated it 7/10 for overall score, and yes it's actually better than Century Mahkota that is priced quite higher than this one :p

Ammar's first experience in Melaka :)

Evening came, we made a move to Bandar Hilir in Melaka town. As expected, the town was busy as always especially during weekends and school holiday. Had a 'good' 20min time just to look for a parking space, and we finally managed to find one inside the Dataran Pahlawan mall.

Kota A Famosa - We purposely came here to show the real A Famosa to idlan since he knows A Famosa only by its name and thru a picture inside his text book. After we finished taking pictures, he uttered "ni je ke A Famosa? takde apa2 lagik dah?" Aduss i guess he was expecting more than just a gigantic old stones and bricks :p

kincir air - i love this the most! it's one of the things why i think Melaka is amongst the top five must-visit places in Malaysia :) The view is just splendid and magnificent during night time!

There u go, the Melaka River Cruise was so stunning! Tix is only RM10/adult and RM5/child, it took you around a good 30-min to complete the cruising and yes, the view and the feeling was so breathtaking. sgt berbaloi2 gitu!! Along the way you can see many bridge replicas, murals with pictures of the five Hang i.e Tuah, Jebat, Kasturi, Lekir, Lekiu, and you'll be feast with lots of lights, oh yes there was a colorful fountain as well. Kesimpulannya sgt cantik!! Oh btw my eldest Idlan was so mesmerized with Hang Tuah and the gang and kept on asking, Tuah baju warna apa, Jebat baju ape, yadaa yadaa letih nak menjawab tau. He even asked me, "kenape Hang Tuah mati sedangkan dia sgt hebat? mane keris Hang Tuah mama? kenape Jebat nak bunuh dia? Last sekali mesti tanye, mama suka sape?

Such a long and boring entry huh?

Now blog, i know i didn't do justice by writing so much about Melaka yet am still owing you on the Guangzhou travelogue. Blame me not, how can i not brag about Melaka which to me is full of attraction and unique in its own way? it's just soooo serene and tranquil, despite the normal hustle n bustle in the city. I just love Melaka, and i am pretty sure the Melaka's breed out there just can't agree enough with me :p

of the ups and downs

Lots of things happened this past few days.

My grandma fell in her house (back in Kelantan), her shoulder sprained and already been cemented, and now she's with my mum in Ampang. Kesian sgt tengok dia, she has diabetic by the way, and the incident happened when she was getting hypo (due to sugar level drop below the borderline) and trying to reach the glucose drink but suddenly collapsed and unconscious. Allah Maha Kaya, it turns out that my brother was in kelantan that time, so he and my SIL rushed my grandma to the nearby hospital. Couldn't imagine what will happen if my bro is not around since grandma is staying all alone in that house. Syukur. My mom rushed back to Kelantan a day after the incident, and immediately brought her to KL, via flight. The funny part, when the flight attendant took both of them boarded onto the flight via forklift. My mom said, Umi pun dapatla merasa naik forklift masuk dlm flight :p

I also got another issue to counter on the workfront. A staff has resigned from our company and decided to MIA, just like that. No handover, no earlier indication, no nothing and i was left dumb-stucked on all the impending work in progress. I am so pissed off initially since me and my bos has been trying to call him so many times to no avail. But finally he got the courage to email to us, apologized and promised to complete whatever he is still owing, and the good part, he said he really regret for his bad misconduct. I replied his email, thanked him for the contributions given to our team, and my last advice to him...people come and go, but make sure you leave with a good name behind. what comes around goes around. Sinis kan? but i hope he got the message clear....serve as a good lesson hopefully :p

Domestically, everything is manageable so far. Kids pun ok alhamdulillah. Idlan is having a good time during this school holiday following my hubby to the office (since we no longer send him to transit). Oh blog did i tell you he scored straight As in his previous exam? (not all actually because he got B for Seni but kira A lah semua since Seni takde dlm exam besar hehe). Ammar is catching a new skill dgn menyusur ke hadapan like a soldier, and yes he got 3 teeths already. My bubbly Firas is becoming more talkative nowadays, talks non-stop but his 'kepelatan' tu is still very obvious! He is very attached to his big brother, if allowed i am sure he even wants to follow Idlan to school :LOL

Ok peeps it's 3.32am in the morning and see blog i never leave you unattended despite the ups and downs that is happening around me. So blog i guess it's time to pen off now. We're going to Melaka tomorrow (yeyyyy!!!) but i am still not done with the packing. See you're still my priority above some other important things!

Boboiboy!!

"sekarang saya sangat suka jelir lidah...tak tahulah kenapa"

My boboiboy sudah pandai menyusur dan bergerak ke hadapan yey!!
Mula2 cuma pandai mengangkat badan dlm posisi sedia utk merangkak. Dan akhirnya at 8 months dia berjaya bergerak ke depan :)

Masih menyusu badan exclusively alhamdulillah.

Cuma mama dia sudah agak malas sekarang ni. Malam dah tak bangun utk mengepam. Sebab fikir stock EBM byk lagi, dan bila memikirkan akhir tahun nanti mungkin deep freezer terpaksa diserahkan kembali kpd tuan asal dia (ehem ehem)...tu makin malas tu :p

Ini budak sangat suka makan. Masaklah ape sahaja..mesti dia pulun.

Tapi badan tetap steady slim dan tak berat sangat, muka je nampak bambam. Takdelah gagah perkasa macam michelin tuh hoho.

Alhamdulillah jarang sakit. Demam adelah sekali dua, tapi lepas kasi ubat syukur dia sihat kembali dan cergas seperti biasa. Berkat susu ibu kot?? :)

Esok dia akan ke Melaka. Menyaksikan abahnya berlawan volleyball. Moga abah menang okeh...kami semua akan menjadi penyokong setia abahhhh!!! Lepas tu kalau ade rezeki bolehlah boboiboy ni naik Eye of Malaysia & merasa naik cruise dekat Sungai Melaka tu :)

OKlah, mama tak boleh tulis panjang2...byk keje nih. Tapi blog tetap dekat di hati cewahhh sebab tu kena update :p
