It's March already..how time flies!

How i miss my blog!

So many things happened of late, that explains the long silent. Firas got konjunktivities, then Ammar was down with fever, me later got the viral from Ammar and also had the fever, my tonsils inflammed that it hurts a lot when i swallow food or drinks, and finally hubby got a severe eye infection (probably from the virus transmitted by Firas :p) for over a week already! He just got back from seeing an opto at KPJ today, and continued his MC until next week :( Dugaan dari Allah kan, of which it makes us closer to Him...dgn terus berdoa dan merayu agar disembuhkan dr segala penyakit dan dugaan yg diberi. Kata Ustazah Siti Nor Bahyah, ada byk sebab dan rahsia bila kita diuji oleh Allah. Antaranya - Allah kasih pada kita, dia nak dengar kita berdoa, dan meminta dariNya. Kemudian, Allah nak beri atau ganti dgn sesuatu yg lebih baik dari apa yg kita ada sekarang. Allah nak hapuskan sebahagian dari dosa2 kita bila kita ditimpa penyakit atau diuji. hmm itu antara yg ku ingat lah...ade byk lagi sebab sebenarnya tapi dah lupa :p

Work wise was a bit tough lately. Multiple and concurrent assignments which almost all require urgent attention from our team. Kalaulah badan ni boleh dibahagi dua...kejap berlari ke sana, kejap berlari ke sini..memang mudahlah nak selesaikan. Stress tak usah cakaplah, but that's one of the challenge that i need to learn and work out on the solution - how to handle and manage your work-related stress effectively. Kalau ada training ni, mmg konfem akulah orang pertama yg nak pegi!

I took a leave last Thursday. My second annual leave for the year to be exact...uhh terasa lamanya dah tak cuti! Did some baking, kemas2, but the main objective was just to shut down my mind from the office work and to just enjoy the day to its fullest! I made 5 cakes on that day, but only managed to deco 4 of them. Then we had an ad hoc dinner cum farewell party to celebrate 3 of our neighbours that are leaving our neighbourhood and move to other places. Sedih rasa sob sob...cause all of us were very close, we never miss to have a jamuan raya every yr, berjalan raya dari rumah ke rumah setiap malam sampai habis dekat 15 buah rumah!


This is dark chocolate brownies, with melted chocolate ganache, caramelized walnuts and drizzled with butterscotch sauce. Ah simply yummy! This was ordered by my bestest neighbour Aida cum tok ketua of our taman a week before she is leaving to Kedah and settle down there for good. tq beb kerana menjadi peminat setia kek aku sedari dulu...we all sure gonna miss u! hukhuk


This is victoria sandwich cake layered with strawberry fillings and buttercream frosting. Blue theme as requested by owner...for a majlis bertunang si anak buah. Tq kak Nieta for ur order...moga pihak yg menerima suka dgn kek nih :)
Review dr owner: Yati.. feedback drp yg menerima kek tu.. kek sedap sangat especially cream biru,,siap kikis2.. huhu.. lain kali insyaAllah akak nak order lagi.. kali ni nak makan puas2.. :)


 This is Pecan Butterscotch Cake, our most premium cake to date. Premium because it uses the most expensive nuts i.e. pecans, and the making was seriously very complicated and involve lots of steps! Mula2 drizzle dgn butterscotch sauce dulu..then taburkan with chopped toasted pecans. Pecan kena toast dulu yer kawan2!
 second layer will be cream cheese frosting

 and to cover the whole cake with another layer of cream cheese frosting :)

i finished the cake with a mix of whole & chopped toasted pecans, and drizzle with butterscotch sauce again! In summary, you first need to bake the cake, make the butterscotch sauce, toast the pecans, chop the pecans, whip up the cream cheese icing...cut the cake into 2 layers...dan bertabahlah dgn proses mendeco kek nih :p The verdict? mmg sgt sedaplah...our top pick for now after the red velvet :) Tq kak Zuraini & Nad for ur order...do come again!

Red velvet cups to accompany the choc cake...as recommended by me for the adults. Kids mkn buttercream cake...adult mkn something yg lebih premium...fair la kan hehe

Farewell dinner buat jiran2 setaman. All the best in ur future endevours kengkawan...moga kita semua bertemu lagi insya Allah.
