S26 vs Lactogen...

Idlan used to drink S26 ever since I got into work after the 2-mth confinement period. Suddenly his bowel movements started to change...he hasnt had one in three or more days and is in obvious discomfort when he has one...poor little Idlan he cried silently when trying to pass his stool...mama and abah keep on teaching him to push but that doesnt help him much. I still remember he used to pass a soft, yellow in color stool after every feeding since birth till he reached 2 mths old....and we would definitely know that he passed stool coz he'll produce a similar sound every time he had it (sounds like cirit birit...srettttt). Passing hard, infrequent stool must be hard for small baby like him. After consulting doctors and frens (semah, farrah, etc), we decided to change to Bebelac EC...reading at its contents, we noticed that Bebelac EC contains less lactose compared to S26 and other formula milk. We started to feed Idlan with Bebelac EC on last Sunday...and the result ---> he still passing dry, hard stool in the beginning, followed by soft stool towards the end...hopefully tomorrow onwards his bowel movements will be back to normal...and our cutie Idlan can say bye bye to constipation...hum hum....but guess what, Idlan's babysit suggested us to use Lactogen if the problem still persist..she said all her childen used to have Lactogen during their baby times and luckily none of them ever had constipation. And to my surprise, even myself, my brother n our little bro also used to drink Lactogen during our times (mum just told me this)...and all three of us never had this problem too! Hehe why in the first place moderm mum nowadays doesnt believe in low-cost formula milk eh??? Coz ikut logik we can stretch our ringgit rite???
