We are 12 today

The 1st half of this year was the most difficult moments i've been thru. But he was there for me, all the time. I cried, i almost fainted, i lost hope, i was not a mother, a wife or a person that ppl used to know me. But he kept me persevere, assured me things would be fine, though he wasn't sure what awaits us in the future. I could hv never gain myself back without him, on my side. He is the best father, son, son in law, and of course husband that Allah has granted to our family. Moga sihat selalu, dan sayang kami selamanya. Terima kasih terima kite seadanya. Luv u till Jannah. Ucapan terakhir dr kite, tlglah cepat siapkan phd!

We are 12 today. Terima kasih Ya Allah. Alhamdulillah. We may not be rich, but i am definitely the richest person in this world for having wonderful person surrounding my everyday's lives.

Radiofrequency Ablation / Neurotomy

Hubby underwent an RF ablation procedure for his low back injury (in medical term diagnosed as Degenerated Disc Disease) and a platlet rich plasma for both of his knees (torn PCL and ACL) yesterday. Believed that the source of the knee injuries were due to being too over active in sports, plus he has had a motor accident few yrs back.

Alhamdulillah both procedures went well. He is now resting at home for a week. The kids n me made a surprise visit at the hospital right after the procedure. It was my first time driving with Irfan being seated in his car seat. Thx to the smooth traffic, we arrived at Pantai KL in half an hr, and Irfan behaved well throughout the entire journey. Of course he couldnt stop staring at me, jelingan tajam ok. He must've wondered why mama didnt pick me up n hold me like she always did? On our way back he started crying when we entered the car, i pushed the dummy inside his mouth, zikir n tepuk2 him endlessly.until he finally fell asleep..arghh lega sgt!

Today again we made a trip to the hospital to pick up hubby. He settled ok in the car seat, but i need to ensure the dummy is with him whenever he was about to make a fuss :)

Good job sayang! Shall we go to Ioi City Mall after this bila mama boring? Hiksss

P/s: thx to geng lunch for the florist contact, it felt good seeing hubby's puzzled look when the delivery guy came over yesterday :)

Hepi besday sayang....

Mungkin ni besday paling sedih buat awak.
terpaksa jaga irfan di hospital. mama akhirnya down with viral fever...lama sgt duk spital kot byk benar kuman2 jahat yg singgah kat badan. irfan plak masih tak stabil..demam, infection, non stop secretions, ekzema seluruh badan. Kesian sayang mama..mesti penat kan nak melawan semua penyakit2 tuh.

Moga kita terus tabah menghadapi hari2 yg mendatang sayang. walaupun terlalu perit utk ditelan. Hari berganti hari..semakin byk pula ujian yg menanti. Moga Allah terus berikan kekuatan kpd kita semua. Luv u till jannah....sori mama takde kasik hadiah tahun ni :p

Abah lepas buat MRI confirm diagnosed as PCL injury level 3. Operation only 60% success rate, rehab 1 yr. Another option is physio + supplement, and see the progress fr time to time.

And so he opted for physio for time being. Bye bye to volley & badminton, he now must change his lifestyle, and choose a much lighter-impact exercise.

So pasnih abah cycling dgn bebudak je la :)

Mama? nanti2 lah dulu habis pantang bole pk. Bila tgk org lari..tingin nk lari. Tengok org panjat bukit Broga..tingin panjat gak. Cross trainer kat rumah dh lama tersadai sian dia. Hurmm pas abis pantang kena restart aktiviti2 menghasilkan peluh ni :)

We're entering 9th already!

Alhamdulillah syukur to Allah for the love and happiness blessed upon the family. Thank you Yang for being my true companion during my ups n downs, sailing through the hard and pain, and not forgetting sharing the laugh and joyness throughout this 9 years living under the same roof. Like what i always tell you, we definitely complement each other. Despite all my weaknesses and shortcomings, i thank you for accepting me for who i am, not for who you want me to be. May our love and happiness remains forever till death do us apart. You're a great hubby, and of course the bestest father to our kids. We love you with all our hearts Abah!

Hari Wilayah...

- begins with a simple brekkie that was cucur bilis Adabi.
- 1st pumping session done in 15min before 11am.
- Head off to TGV Cheras Selatan for Sumpahan Kum Kum (ok jgn gelak, ni je yg paling best buat hari ini rasanya!), hb settled for a couple seat for a show at 11.45am.
- Had a quick 15min lunch at Subway next to the TGV. Hb chose meatball marinara while myself had turkey breast n chicken slice. Sedap banget!! Cookies dia pon sedappp :)
- Watched Sumpahan Kum Kum till the show ends around 1.25pm. Okla, takdela takut sangat but still ai kejap-kejap tutup mata bila hantu keluar tsk tskk...
- Had a good 15min window shopping at Jusco. Bagus, nafsu masih terkawal hence no damage done.
- Sharp 2pm we both split in our own way, hb went for a meeting while myself shot to Yummie to top up my bakery supply. Diam tak diam i spent close to 1 hour dekat situ and the damage? biarlah rahsia arghhhh
- Reached home around 3.40pm, and did another round of pumping after solat. Actually pumping and FB run concurrently :)
- Lepas solat asar, nesting in the kitchen for 1hr++ baking brownie and prepare dinner. Siap buat 2 version of dinner lagi...macaroni goreng for the kids, mihun goreng with vege and extra chilli for us.
- Sapu living hall in 5-7min, clean the dishes and segala tok nenek dlm sink, fetch the kids from taska at 6.40pm (ouchhh dah lebih 6.30pm, terpaksa bayar OT nanti!).

When i recalled the activities, it's more like you are in an 'amazing race'. Buat itu, next ini, lari ke sana, pecut ke sini...all in one day.

But when you are back to work, practically you'll just be sitting in front of lappy for a 'good' 4 hour++ before lunch time, then lepas lunch duduk balik tgk lappy sampai ke petang. Probably do lil bit of exercise when a meeting is held next to your building. Or doing some mental therapy when there's a bazaar on the ground floor on certain occasion. And settle for something 'extraordinary' lunch at MV or KL Sentral on Friday that's near your pay day.

So now tell me, which one sounds better? Duduk senang lenang depan pc dlm air cond sehari suntuk, atau berlari ke sana ke mari macam org bz giler penat toksah ckp la but deep inside you know you've done something and enjoy doing loads of things to the fullest?

lagi best when seeing ur hb eating 2 full plates of ur home-cooked dinner complaining u're ruining his diet but at the same time he gave u big compliments like 'this is the best mihun goreng i've cooked for him so far" haha

8th Anniversary

It’s our 8th anniversary today.

Hubby stayed at home for half day, looking after our eldest who had just undergone his ‘khatan’ and unfortunately got complications barely 1 hour after the klamp procedure. Idlan is recuperating now, at my mom’s.

Me off to work as usual after a straight four-day leave. It’s moving towards the year-end and the works are just too taxing and everything is becoming super urgent right now. The system is not stable and keep on going intermittent, went down every now n then..bagus la tuh!!

We were supposed to be on leave today, our initial plan was to watch Ombak Rindu or any movie, have a proper lunch together and probably do some window shopping before picking up the kids at 630pm. I have planned to make a special cake for him over the weekend.

But Allah has a better plan for us.

Marriage is not only about love, but tolerating and understanding each other roles and responsibilities, prioritizing certain things and not to think about one self only. We’ve been together in this journey for 8 good years, went through the sweat and tears, joy and laugh, everything, together.

I miss my hb, miss my eldest who for the first time separating with us (until this coming weekend), miss my cheeky n naughty firas, and my lovely ammar. But still I need to be in the office.

Happy 8th Anniversary Yang…thank you for everything.
Love you now n forever.
May Allah bless our marriage, and that we’ll always be guided with iman and akal in whatever we’re doing.

Salam Buat Pembaca Blog yg dihormati,

Saya bagi pihak surau & komuniti Taman Sutera Kajang (tempat tinggal saya) ingin menyeru dan mempelawa sesiapa yg ingin memberi sumbangan ikhlas bagi tujuan membina masjid di kawasan perumahan kami. Info seperti di bawah. Tidaklah ditetapkan mesti menderma sebanyak RM50, tapi bagi sesiapa yg menderma sebyk RM50, pihak surau akan memberikan sekeping sijil wakaf sebagai tanda. Maknanya, kalau nak pakat2 bersama kawan2 pun boleh. Nak derma RM1 pun boleh! (cumanya anda tidak dpt sijil wakaf, tapi saham akhirat tetap anda dapat, yakinlah Allah itu Maha Melihat lagi Maha Mengetahui).

Moga kita semua sama2 mendpt manfaat dari info ini.

Rebutlah sijil simpanan premium akhirat ini sekarang (hehe kereta Merc tak dpt, tapi insya Allah lebih byk yg bakal menanti di kemudian hari) ...sementara hayat masih di kandung badan, sementara kita masih mampu mengeluarkan sejumlah wang di atas rezeki yg Allah beri kpd kita selama ini.

Melaka the Historical City : 11-12 June 2011

A short, yet a memorable trip i'd conclude.

We went to Melaka (specifically MMU) because hubby got a volley match with the Melaka team as a preparation to select players to rep MMU during the upcoming inter-GLC Universities Match. To cut it short (well am not good in telling stories about sports so let's just make it short n simple hihi) after a 'heart-wrenching' 5 games hubby's team won the match! kuddos Yang tak sia-sia kitorang tunggu dekat 4jam dlm kepanasan tu :p

The game finished around 12.30pm, right afterwards the boys had themselves freshen up and changed at the surau. Lama dah tak jejak surau MMU, when i looked at the notice board and the surroundings, a strange feeling struck inside...uh uh how i've left all those usrah things and all..sadis bila fikir :(

Had our quick lunch at Jusco (semah ijah - korang igt tak kita ramai2 naik beskal gi Jusco tuh? hoho sgt gigih ok!) and settled ourselves at Kings Hotel (in Bukit Beruang area) at 3pm. Hubby got us a superior room with a queen bed+1 super single bed, more than suffice to accomodate the 5 of us :) The rate is RM169 only yer (booked via Agoda), with the new furnishing, clean room, comfy bed, good food...we got nothing to complaint to be honest. i personally rated it 7/10 for overall score, and yes it's actually better than Century Mahkota that is priced quite higher than this one :p

Ammar's first experience in Melaka :)

Evening came, we made a move to Bandar Hilir in Melaka town. As expected, the town was busy as always especially during weekends and school holiday. Had a 'good' 20min time just to look for a parking space, and we finally managed to find one inside the Dataran Pahlawan mall.

Kota A Famosa - We purposely came here to show the real A Famosa to idlan since he knows A Famosa only by its name and thru a picture inside his text book. After we finished taking pictures, he uttered "ni je ke A Famosa? takde apa2 lagik dah?" Aduss i guess he was expecting more than just a gigantic old stones and bricks :p

kincir air - i love this the most! it's one of the things why i think Melaka is amongst the top five must-visit places in Malaysia :) The view is just splendid and magnificent during night time!

There u go, the Melaka River Cruise was so stunning! Tix is only RM10/adult and RM5/child, it took you around a good 30-min to complete the cruising and yes, the view and the feeling was so breathtaking. sgt berbaloi2 gitu!! Along the way you can see many bridge replicas, murals with pictures of the five Hang i.e Tuah, Jebat, Kasturi, Lekir, Lekiu, and you'll be feast with lots of lights, oh yes there was a colorful fountain as well. Kesimpulannya sgt cantik!! Oh btw my eldest Idlan was so mesmerized with Hang Tuah and the gang and kept on asking, Tuah baju warna apa, Jebat baju ape, yadaa yadaa letih nak menjawab tau. He even asked me, "kenape Hang Tuah mati sedangkan dia sgt hebat? mane keris Hang Tuah mama? kenape Jebat nak bunuh dia? Last sekali mesti tanye, mama suka sape?

Such a long and boring entry huh?

Now blog, i know i didn't do justice by writing so much about Melaka yet am still owing you on the Guangzhou travelogue. Blame me not, how can i not brag about Melaka which to me is full of attraction and unique in its own way? it's just soooo serene and tranquil, despite the normal hustle n bustle in the city. I just love Melaka, and i am pretty sure the Melaka's breed out there just can't agree enough with me :p

Tho to some people it may look simple, but to me i am truly deeply touched...sgt terharu bila suami tolong buatkan breakfast utk keluarganya.
Ini bukanlah kali yg pertama, tapi dah banyak kali.....

7yrs and counting....

‎7 wonderful years with the man that becomes a superdad to our kids; a great & understanding hubby that always stay with me during my ups n downs. I can't never thank you enough for all the things you've done for our family. Hepi Anniversary Yang...may our luv grow stronger each day, may our family is blessed with loves, happinness n iman till eternity.

back sprain

1. We were supposed to continue our laman project this morning when hubby suddenly got a 'simple back sprain' attack (as what the ortho terms it) while he was about to carry our old bicycle into the car boot for the purpose of 'BOS'. This is his 3rd/4th attack for the yr, and all he can do was just laying down as the pain is severe and hardly bearable. I coax him to go and see an orthopaedic at An Nur, and syukur the result was not a slip disc. My staffs thought i was at the hospital preparing for labor haha...blom lagi ok...saya masih sihat and the time is just not yet!

2. Received a dividend cheque (interim) for TM's share today. Alhamdulillah for it still maintain as one of the companies paying high dividend rate to its shareholders. Berbaloi simpan lama-lama :p

3. Bought a bengkung (RM40) from Mum's Dream shop just now after our visit to An Nur. It's the one yg kena lilit2 tuh but still simpler than the long bengkung jawa yg 10mtr tu. Now that i have 3 bengkung(s) in hand, satu yg jawa style, satu bengkung moden (courtesy from Semah) and this new one, hopefully perut cepat kempis hihi

So apa aktiviti anda hari ini? Kami sekeluarga cuma bermalas-malasan di rumah...al maklum la di hujung bulan ni budget agak ketat, nak keluar rumah pun agak takde mood :p Hari ini agak sedikit istimewa buat daddy, ayah, abah, bapa, walid dan apa sajalah panggilan yg anda gunakan buat insan yg bergelar bapa. Yer tanpa seorang bapa...maka tiadalah kita di dunia ini. Tanpa seorang suami yang juga bergelar bapa, maka tidak lengkaplah kehidupan sang isteri dan anak-anak yang sangat bergantung kepada si dia dalam aspek2 tertentu. Saya sangat2 bersyukur kerana ditemukan jodoh dengan en suami ku yang tersayang itu. Pandai menjaga anak2, tidak kekok membasuh berak, mandikan budak, tukarkan pampers, bangun malam bancuh susu, etc. Itu belum masuk ringan tulang bab kerja2 rumah - basuh kain, sidai kain, kemas rumah dan sebagainya. Dan paling penting, dia sangat menghormati keluarga saya dan pandai menjaga hati umi dan papa saya seperti mak dan ayahnya sendiri :) Dibandingkan dengan bapa2 zaman dahulu, tidakkah anda bersetuju yang kita sangat beruntung dikurniakan suami zaman sekarang ini betul tak? Yer memang tidak wujud istilah seorang suami atau bapa yg perfect, masing2 pasti ada kekurangan yang tersendiri.... tapi apa2 pun Yang, awak tetap hebat di mata kite dan anak-anak! Happy Father's Day to you...takde cheesecake, muffin pun jadikla yer :p



Hari ni untuk breakfast saya buatkan pancake kegemaran en suami. Saya cuba resepi baru, diambil dari joyofbaking.com. Hasilnya memang tidak mengecewakan, pancake yg sangat fluffy dan lembut...served with maple syrup Hungry Jacks yg kami ambil masa pergi GC dulu, blueberry fillings & strawberry jem. Perfect!

1 cup flour (130g)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbp sugar (28g)
1 large egg (lightly beaten)
1 cup milk (240ml)
2 tbp unsalted butter - melted (i just use the normal butter, not unsalted)

1. Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt & sugar. In another bowl whisk the egg, milk and butter. Combine both mixture, stir/whisk until just combined. The batter should have some small lumps. DO NOT overmix the batter.
2. Using a small ladle or scoop, pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the non-stick pan. When the bottom of the pancakes are brown and bubbles start to appear on the top surface, turn over. Cook until lightly browned.

Dan selepas breakfast, saya buat coklat muffin pulak. Resepi baru juga kali ni, oleh Nigella Lawson. Hasilnya pun sangat memuaskan, texture padat dan tidak terlalu berongga, dan tidak terlalu manis. Jika ada permintaan saya postkan resepi kemudian ok.
