Jamuan Raya GP 2012

Jamuan Raya GP held last Monday @ the MPH. Tema kampung/tradisional, and the Sourcing team's theme is purple!

Our gerai! we served sate, rendang ayam, rendang daging, ayam masak merah, pulut kuning, nasi impit, kek lapis sarawak and apam colorful. We won the first place haha..dpt voucher KFC RM200 :)

of cakes....and Ammar

Ammar has not been very well since Wednesday night...his body temp shot up that night, accompanied by mild cough and runny nose. Thursday, his condition still not getting better. Doc said he got a viral fever, probably infected from me since i've just had one few days ago right after the open house. Come Friday, Abah volunteered to take care of him at home. I couldn't take an off day since i had 3 presentations to make that evening and worst thing is my bos was away for his cuti-cuti malaysia! I came back just before the azan Maghrib that evening...lucky all my papers were approved phewwww.
We just stayed at home today. Hoping that Ammar is getting enough rest and pray for the fever to run away for tomorrow we planned to go to several open house invitations.
Anyway here go some bakes that i made over the week. For my repeat customers of course :)

I guess lotsa of KL ppl are taking chance to go for a short getaway during this long weekend. Have a nice break peeps! till then ~

i am nervous....

Frankly. Never been as nervous as how im feeling rite now.

I guess my bos is enjoying his holiday as much as he can. Probably he will be in one of the island snorkelling with the fish n corals while im fighting n presenting 3 papers tomoro...without him!

Ahhh may everything is smooth-sailing all the way...harap2 suara x hilang present 3 papers berturut2 :)

Open house jiran + birthday celebration

Pictures taken last Saturday for our open house + small birthday celebration for Firas & Ammar. Open house kali restricted for jiran2 and geng lunch sahaja. Of course i'd love to invite my officemate and friends as well tapi tak mampu kudrat dan tenaga nak masak for large crowd. Insya Allah next time kalau murah rezeki dan panjang umur, boleh la buat open house besar-besaran...tapi konfem kena catering ok! This time around masak for 100++ guest pon dah nak pengsan. The pre and post-event effect was so bad..migraine, sakit badan, pinggang..everything! And today i lost my voice already that i had to request my staff  n bos to attend the negotiation session with vendor...camner nak nego kalo sore dah hilang ye tak ish ishhh ganaz penangan open house kali nih :p

Since Aida (my neighbour right in front of our house) also decided to do her open house jiran on the same day, i decided to just prepare for light meals since Aida will serve nasi tomato and hers will be during lunch hour. So mine will start at 3pm...to avoid congestion in front of our houses hehe. Told my jiran-jiran...ok korang makan kenyang2 kat rumah aida...pegi rumah aku makan dessert jer :)

This is popia filling. A mix of togey, carrot, chicken and eggs. Done a week before and frozen it. 100pcs altogether.

Devil's food chocolate cake a.k.a the boys' birthday cake. 3x batter resulting in a 2kg++ big cake.

Victoria sandwich cake a.k.a traditional English buttercake. Twisted the ori recipe by putting blueberry fillings instead of strawberry jam..belasah jer.

the Baked Brownies with happy birthday sign. Notice the cut-outs? sgt leceh nk potong satu persatu but i enjoyed doing this :)

vanilla cup cakes with buttercream. dah lama tak buat cuppies..kira lepas geram la nih :)

strawberry cheese tarts. I did the tart shells on thursday, then keep it in fridge.

Mihun goreng. Umi dari awal dah offer nak tolong gorengkan...thanks so much umi!! Apart from this Umi tolong goreng popia, nuggets, kemas itu ini...ya Allah byk sgt yg umi tolong tq so much Umi i owe u big time!

instant Maggi mushroom soup...sgt senang masak ni and cepat plak tuh. I believe pizzahut also used this instant soup powder for its soup! this is paired with roti perancis below...

Sate Yus. initially nak go for Willy's...tapi fully booked. then hb went to sate sup UK..also fully booked. last resort sate yus.

kids wanted to wear white t-shirts that day..so mak pak pon konon nk matching pakai la putih jugak. tapi kesilapan besar betul lah...letih nk hilangkan kesan minyak di baju!

Tetamu terakhir kami hari tu pulang dalam jam 9pm++...kemudian kami lari kejap beraya ke rumah zarid, sebelum ke rumah aida jiran depan nih. Diorang semua sempat lagi beraya ke rumah zue dan mizie...ah jeles jelessss. Balik rumah pukul 10.30pm...berhempas pulas cuci pinggan mangkuk bagai. Esok pagi baru lah kemas rumah, vakum dan mop bagai. Kepala mmg berat dan sakit sepanjang hari. Isnin kepala masih migrain tapi tetap ke ofis sbb ada jamuan raya GP plus segan plak nak mc disebabkan open house kan....dan today kemuncaknya terus hilang suara! Dahsyat penangan open house kali :(
