Horas Horas Horas!!!

Horas horas horas!!! That was part of the language we learnt from our tourist guide during our visit to Medan. We left home around 615am, went to mmu to park our car and got a good friend of B to send us to airport. Arrived klia at 730am, rushed to the counter to check in our luggage, then headed down to Gate 10 for flight to Medan. We had about 15 min before the flight departure and still we managed to 'mandikan koboikan' idlan, with me and B went into the same toilet (ladies to be specific :p). And yes thanks to AA, those tagging their babies along got the priority, hence we faced no trouble to board the plane :)

It took just about 40min to arrive the Polonia Airport in Medan, and our dear son behaved so well inside the flight...cayanggg Idlan! and i think he didnt had the ear pain when we were about to touch down, no cry at all..macho anak mama :) And there the tiring journey was about to begin...jeng jeng jeng...(penat woo)

DAY 1 (Medan-Parapat)
After meeting our tourist guide, Pak Anwar, we board a bus heading to Parapat (4-hr journey). Stopped at Siantar for 'kaum ibu-ibu' shopping langsir. My mum really got herself a good bargain, it only costs her RM220 for 2 peices of curtain (for sliding door), pleated, plus sewing charge. And we got enough time to lay back and rest in that air-cond shop before continue the long-hr journey to Parapat. Idlan siap main lari2 lagi dlm kedai tu, mmg dia syok duk dlm kedai langsir tuh. We arrived at Parapat late afternoon, around 6pm, checked in at Danau Toba International Cottage, and lepas dinner terus sleep! sesungguhnyer hari yg teramat exhausted utk kitorang huhu

DAY 2 (Parapat-Berastagi)
After breakfast at hotel, we boarded a big boat, crossing the beautiful and magnificent Lake Toba, and stopped at one of the island at the middle/edge of the lake, that is Samosir Island. Visited kampung org2 batak, called Kampung Ambarita and Tomok. We could get plenty of souvenirs over here, range from t shirts, skirts, caps, hand-wooden crafts, etc etc...but do ensure you got a good negotiator by your side to counter the bargain to the max ehehehe...they org2 batak pon pandai nego tau! We just bought a t-shirt for idlan and a bunch of keychains. It was frightening since a few dogs were scattered around here n there, and one of the dog passed by just next to me selamba dek jer..hish mujur tak kena samak. Pak Anwar took us to tpt org2 batak adakan upacara memancung, and apart from that n the souvenir shops, there was nothing much at the island.
We continued our journey to Berastagi, which took us another 4-5 hr journey..penat giler duk dlm bas! On the way to Berastagi, we stopped by at Simajarunjung, a place well-known for its ginger tea. The weather here was so cold, hence tourists were suggested to drink the ginger tea to heat up the whole body. A cup of tea, plus a free goreng pisang costs us RM3. And me, the one yg tak suke halia, never even dare to have a sip of it hehe...
Ok sambung perjlnan lagi, stopped at Sipiso Piso waterfall, but we didnt get down of the bus because of rain. My brother bought a sweater, nicely knitted, for only RM8 for his darling Hana because of the frequent rain ever since we got here. Arrived at Danau Toba Cottage hotel around 7pm, and as usual after dinner terus dozed off berselimut tebal (hotel ni takde air cond, tp sejuk bangat tak hingat!)

DAY 3 (Berastagi-Medan)
Pegi Pasar Buah, nama je pasar buah but apart fr selling fruits, there were lots of souvenirs with even good bargains than the one we could get at samosir island. Plus ppl here didnt chase and force us to the max like the one in the island, so bley bershopping ngan tenang sket hehe. Kat sini basically they sell the same things like other places, tshirt, caps, hand crafts, table runner, pen, etc etc....so here we spent money on idlan's vest/sweater, snow cap, table runner made of kayu lidi, and cap abah...sweater idlan yg lawa tu pon baru RM8 hish murah bangat dong! Then bertolak ke Medan town, stopped by at the curtain shop to pick up my mum's curtain, bought few pieces of embroidered kain ela utk myself, mum, MIL, and SIL, and not forgetting kain pelikat 'samarinda' for ayah and BIL. Our journey continued to Kedai Batik Danarhadi, which was more like an exclusive boutique, and we left the shop bought nothing eheheh sumer memahal beb. Last visit was the Medan Mall, the biggest shopping complex in Medan town but much smaller than our favourite Midvalley :p
Again here there was nothing interesting, i was hoping to spend most of my money here but instead none catched our interest huhu...igt nak sambar handbag ke kasut ke, but the range of brands on racks were not that popular at all..huhu sedey sedey..nyesal tak shopping bebyk kat tpt2 sebelum ni hehe. We got to fill our stomach with Mc D, here they serve fried chicken with rice, they have spaghetti, they have sundae chocolate served in cute plastic glass, and majority of them mkn nasi kat mc D hehe. Our last night here were spent at Garuda Plaza Hotel, it was rated as 3-star but if u look at the pics, it was almost like a 4 star hotel in kl.

DAY 4

- medan best utk kaki shopping, be it utk yg kaya raya, atau sederhana cam kita2 ni...
- not recommended to those who wish to tag along your baby..sbb perjlnan fr one place to another gonna took u about 4-5 hrs..such a long and tiring journey! anak sure ngamuk dlm bas nanti hehe...tp idlan good, dia ngamuk kekadang je time nak tido, the rest dia behave jer :)
- jgn gopoh nak beli brg, try bargain sehabis-habisan, sbb sumer tpt jual almost the same stuffs
- food sedap2, try carik restaurant masakan minang/padang. Ni highly recommended: restoran Istana Rest kat Parapat. Serve 10 jenis lauk yg sumenyer lazat-lazat!
- kat sini yg kaya tu betul2 kaya, rumah cam villa, cam istana. Keta hebat2 belaka, majority pakai toyota..unser paling byk kat sini...al maklum kat sini takde cukai pak!
- org indon yg nak travel outside indon kena bayar fiscal tax 1 juta Rp, that equals to RM400! ni government imposed, sbb sape yg kaya2 je bley travel luar indon kan...hehe giler mahal. Tapi sape yg miskin pon terpaksa bayar gak kalo nak ke luar negara...
- toilet kat sini dipanggil 'kamar kecil'. Kalo sebut tandas org tak paham.
- jgn lupa bwk sweater, kat berastagi tptnyer sejuk bangat seh!
- jgn layan org2 yg menjual kalo takmo beli brg dia, jgn pandang langsung, kalo idak sure dikejarnyer tourist dr satu place ke satu place ngan motor...pathetic betul.

1] Congratulations to Farra and Deman for the newborn baby girl. I received the good news fr Farra's sms on 6.30 in the morning...hehe awalnyer sms eh! The baby weighed 3.2kg, and was safely delivered at Pusat Perubatan Naluri, KL at 2.55am 20/3/2006. Mus'ab dah dpt adik...jaga adik bebaik ok, kena cayang adik tau!

2] Idlan still hasnt fully recovered from his cough and cold since last friday...and we intend to go to another clinic this evening to get another different set of medicine for him. Hope he'll get better soon, as we'll be off to medan tomorrow morning. B mentioned that this whole week will be rain and storm in medan according to the weather forecast...iskkk what a bad news..hope things wouldnt be as bad as i can think of rite now huhuhuhu. Kalo idak hancur punah harapan cuti-cuti mesia ku ini isk isk...(poketku dah penuh ngan berjuta-juta rupiah dah ni :p)

3] sooo itu sajela buat ari ni..will be back for more updates on medan and a short review on the new LCC in klia...till then, have a nice weekend ahead all!

3] Im glad that i've finished the story...16 episodes altogether, and i was able to finish watching it within a week! what an achievement hehehe. Unfortunately (ke fortunately sebenarnyer :p), there's another one new story entitled 'Goong' stored in our server, and the inner part of self still battling whether to watch it or not. It's kind of hard to stop once you've started...im telling you, the force is too strong ok!

4] another 4 days to go...yeahh!!!

1] i should be able to finish the story within this week...there's another four more episodes to go and after that i can happily go home, not to think about what's gonna happen next and next. Heeesshhh sape yg tak tgk lagi, this one is highly recommended, the story, the leads, the supporting casts, the song...sumernyer sweet ok! I've never got myself into these so-called 'demam citer korea' after the famous winter sonata, autumn in my heart and full house long long ago. ..yeah not until a colleague of mine recentlyoffered to download the stories from her pc nyeh nyehhh

2] we now know the trick of how to make idlan from stop bothering either of us...'bothering' here could means disturbing his mama doing house chores, wailing for no reason when mama is bz putting on her tudung, kacau2 bila either of us tgh mkn, etc etc...
So what we need to do is to SAY this: "idlan, where's your ball? idlan, go and take your ball...atau ckp in bm pon boley, "idlan, mane ball mane ball? ha pegi carik ball".

p/s: asal dgr perkataan ball je, dia akan terus pegi carik ball dia hehehe...so terus x jadi kacau kitorang :)

my girl

I rarely left my blog unattended, not until recently when i was hooked up with this one korean drama series entitled "My Girl". It was amazing when you actually find yourself really eager to go to work, merely because there's something awaits for u there....and that was happening to me started from last week :)

But bear in mind, you can only spare ur time watching the series when you really doesnt have pending works to settle ok! Like my case, i watch it while answering calls and coordinating my dockets..both done in efficient manners cewahh jgn jeles arr.

I'll be back with more stories when am free :p

the weekend

Unlike usual, our recent weekend was spent staying at home, no outing to malls whatsoever. But still we went to alamanda on friday to get the usual household stuffs and pampers for idlan. He made a short scene at the escalator, crying and wailing to get onto the moving escalator, maybe he thought that 'moving thingy' is interesting to play with. Abah dragged him away from that, and as expected, tunjuk perasan berlaku sebentar :p

On saturday and sunday, mama, the one that gets over excited on the new recipes she collected in the internet, tried two new recipes, that were baked macaroni and chicken pie. The macaroni was splendid, but the chicken pie was a bit frustrating on the pastry part. The pastry got cracked here and there, though abah had put his best effort to fold it into nice calzone shape like the one we can get at pizza hut. So here was the result (see pic). I really have to find better pastry recipes next time.

On evening, for the first time ever we brought idlan to the playground nearby. He was a bit stone and blur initially, but later on he quickly got over it and played cheerfully. Next time kita pegi lagi ok!

bile mama rajin...

Last night instead of settled in front of tv watching my favourite Natasha, i made my third muffin of the week, that was apple and walnut muffin (see pic). Last saturday i've tried chop chips muffin and banana muffin, recipes courtesy of Farra. But as usual, all recipes been amended accordingly using my logical sense hehe...i really couldnt stick with what was written in the paper and the result, hmm truly satisfying!

first teeth

am not sure whether other parents out there brush their toddler's teeth. We saw a big information catalog in a clinic last saturday showing this one brand, FIRST TEETH, that is a toothpaste specially designed for babies and toddlers (can swallow also ok). We went to guardian, hunting for that brand, and we almost choked our heart out, the price tag shows RM24.90 for the small tube. Even the big tube for adults doesnt cost that much isnt it? We left out, buying other things instead...kite gosok gigi ngan air jela for time being ok!

ptg ni balik ofis ade projek, hehe projek mencari penimbang/scale..mlm ni nak menjalankan projek membuat muffin resepi farra..choc muffin and banana choc chips muffin nyum nyum..mintak2 si kenit comel tu tido awal, so bleyla aku bertapa kat dapur tanpa gangguan dia. Dulu 1st time buat muffin awal2 pagi, tp since si kenit dah bgn, makanye dia join skalik ngan mama kat dapur..habis muka putih mama calit tepung. Kali ni dah pandai jln, kalo dia kacau, mau dia bwk lari cups2 muffin yg cute tuh hehe

kalo muffin menjadi, bleyla bwk gi umah umi esok, cewahhh nanti adelah suara2 yg ckp "fuiyoo kak nur pandai wat muffin!" (belum pepe dah perasan hehe). Esok adik bongsu aku yg sorang tu dah janji nak banjer dinner (aku yg paksa hehe) for the whole family sempena 1st gaji dia..dia keje part time kat 7-11 sementara tunggu spm result kuar..gaji RM750 woo, pd aku byk aar tuh! Esok jugak nak bertapa kat umah umi, nak blajo menjahit baju kurung, sume skill dah lenyap dr otak sbb dah lama tak asah hehe..pasnih jimatla duit nak upah baju nyeh nyeh...sesape nak soh aku jahit baju dia, silakan silakan cewahh...harga mulah punyer kengkawan kan :p

ni adalah istana yg bakal kami duduki x lama lagik...mmgla macam bukan istana tapi pd kami inilah istana hinggap/permanent kami yg termampu buat masa ini hehe...tapi malangnyer kenapekah cat dia kaler oren??? arghhh tidak tidakss!

[1] I hope i could be like ummimon one day, so obsessed in preparing home-made food for her Iman. Towards that, this morning i prepared applesauce for idlan's snacks, besides his regular carrot+potato+brocolli rice porridge and fish soup (ari ni sup ikan haruan nyummy!). last weekend he had pancake for breakfast, same like his mama and abah, except that i didnt put egg for his version for afraid of the allergy attack. looks like i've added another meal for his breakfast list - nestum, coco pops, cornflakes, plain bread, and last but not least, pancake! (plus nasi lemak, roti canai, mihun goreng, etc whenever he sees either of us eating all those)

[2] It's TRUE what people says, bila dah dapat kaki...ha asyik nak berjalan jek! That happened to us last sunday, we brought him to IOI Mall, to let him making his first debut cewahhh. Putting on his dark blue mickey shoes, there he go, walking straight forward as if his parent didnt exist, no turning at all! When abah grabbed his hand, tried to make him turn backwards to where his mama stood, he wailed and screamed...tunjuk perasaan la tuh :p

[3] The new skin looks so refreshing isnt it? credits to Aida and Semah, it'll never turn out to be like this if i were to do it on my own...me got no skills on this kreatip2 part ok! Tima kasih bebyk eh korang!

Just now i was sooo bz flipping thru frens' fotopages, reading their updates stories and while i almost finished reading the last sentence that is my fren's email address : baxxxx@yahoo.com, a call from mr customer came in and guess what did i say.............

i dont know how on earth that stupid sentence uttered from my mouth...and i was soooo unfortunate that the customer noticed that last word....u know what did he say?

"hehe tgh surf internet ke yati?"

Fettucine Alfredo nyum nyumm!

To those western food lovers, u might wanna consider this recipe for the whole family...i can assure u its much more yummy than the one u can get outside (including some 'femes' restaurant i tell u)..so here goes:

Ingredients:
- fettucine (or u can also use other pasta like spaghetti, spiralli, shells, etc etc...)
- boneless chicken - diced
- button mushrooms - diced
- garlic - diced
- onions - diced
- whipped cream
- shredded cheese
- salt
- oregano/all herbs
- black pepper powder

The actions:
- boil the pasta till tender, rinse it, put aside.
- Heat oil in small pan (the original recipe uses butter, but me personally dont like it because the gravy will become a bit oily after a few hrs)
- Saute garlic and onion for few minutes (jgn biar sampai 'layu'), add in chicken, let it half-cooked, add mushrooms, simmer till all cooks well.
- Add whipped cream, bring down the heat, let it cook for 5-10 minutes, then add in shredded cheese ( i use romano, u can use whatever brand u like), cook till cheese melted, add some water cause the gravy is thicken after u add the cheese, so the amount of water depends on how thick u want the gravy to be
- put a dash of salt, oregano/all herbs and black pepper powder
- stir well.....voila it's ready! (lupa plak, serve it with the pasta la ok) And u can put the parsley leaves as deco :)

note: sori i couldnt give u the actual measurements for all the ingredients, that merely because it varies, depending on the no of pax per servings, amount of pasta u boiled, how thick the gravy u want it to be, etc...and yes i dont strictly follow whatever recipes i collected, reason being the recipes dont produce the results u expected, so better follow ur heart....cooking is an art isnt it? so just put whatever amount u think make sense to u hehe..janji sodap!

my sweetie 14-month-old's physical development

He's now entering 14 months old and apparently, he develops few new skills that somehow and rather amuses us all the time. His walking ability improves a lot, less stumbling to the floor, manage to control his body not to fall down whenever the feets touch uneven surfaces like carpet and our 'toto'. He can squat down and pick up something, then lift up the body by not holding onto the furniture, (or usually using mama/abah as support). He plays 'peekaboo' with mama very well, and i can say he enjoys 'looking and searching' his mama's hiding place, be it behind the sofa, in the kitchen, etc etc. He so likes to open the shoe cabinet, taking out the shoe one by one and dump it all to the floor, and ohh also taking out abah's smelly sport shoe and run to the toto...wekkkss!

What's more? He enjoys "putting things in" and "taking them out". He doesnt has any special container to keep all the toys that he has, only the old abah's shoe box hehe...so whenever he litters the toys onto the floor, as usual his hardworking mama will put all those little things back inside the box, and there again he repeats the same process till he gets bored with it. Our remote tv controller becomes his favourite target, picks up the remote and throw it away, then picking it up again and throw it away and god i dont know how long it can last. He still prefer the tv controller even after we gave him the vcd remote controller, not sure what makes him to be so fond with the tv one.

One last thing (tho i actually wanted to tell lots more) which most of the time will put me into 'infuriate states'...holding to my baju kurung/kain/pants, screaming and crying whenever i'm putting my tudung every morning to go to work...if only he understands that his mama will never ever leave him behind and the facts that how on earth can mama or abah go anywhere without taking him along...god he really gives me a hard time when it comes to wearing tudung. When i settled, i take him up and he hugs me as if he doesnt want to let me go (see how obsess he is to his mama :p) hope he'll understand this one day. Mama takkan tinggalkan sayang ok!

p/s: cian abah muntah2 kena food poisoning today, sumernya gara-gara nasi lemak breakfast yg mama tak mkn semlm...take care ok sayang...sori mama taleh cuti jaga awak huhu

my baby can walk!

Our little sweetheart now can walk on his own! That happened on last Friday, yes Friday the lucky day i'd say, Friday the 10th when he exactly reached 14 months :) As usual we picked him up from the nursery and one of his 'akak-akak' said "Idlan dah bley jln dah kak"! Merata dia dah pegi....

We smiled and felt excited, but i asked myself not to get over excited on it. I knew he can walk already, but i never expect that this time he REALLY CAN WALKS!

That miracle night, he walked all over the house. From main hall to the kitchen, vice versa. He explored every single inch of the house. And we noticed he lifted up his right hand while walking, almost 45 degree, for sef-balancing i supposed hehe...pandai anak mama!

Pertama sekali, takziah kpd kak Elin sekeluarga di atas pemergian bonda tercinta ke alam barzakh. Pagi tadi sempat berborak dgn safurah aka maduku...hehe kenape panggil dia madu? oh dia bukan isteri kedua pruzz ok! takpe, rahsia tu biarlah bebudak Raudhah je yg simpan hehe...alhamdulillah dia sihat, baby in womb pon sihat, she's expecting to be due on 4th march...baby boy insya allah. Makanya tak lama lagi akan bertambahlah team volley kampung boy...skang dah ade amirul, afiq, aiman, idlan, izzul, mus'ab (ade lagi ke yg tertinggal ni?)...pastuh team pom pom girl plak baru sket je, kita ader aisya, atiqah and fatin (anak gina)..ditambah pemain2 import dan penyokong lagikla ramai, ade fawwaz, afif, amni, auni, nufayl, alyya, marissa.....oh byk lagikla..tak larat nak list out. So kepada safurah, jaga diri bebaik...perbykkan doa agar segalanya dipermudahkan bila tiba masanya nanti.

Kpd farra, tarikh ko pon dah dekat kan...take care and semoga semuanyer berjln lancar! Kpd Hany, hehe tahniah jugak di atas kewujudan 'insan' baru utk bermain dgn Nufayl kelak. Bestnyer lahai bila mendengar berita2 macam ni...ha tahniah jugak buat Has, dah ade 2 anak teruna dah kau eh!

Jangan tanye bila idlan nak dpt adik baru ok...perjalanan aku masih jauh lagi, skarang ni nak concentrate kepada cita-cita dulu cewahhh :)

Idlan oh Idlan...

Permata hati kami yg satu tu dah nak masuk setahun 2 bulan tak lama lagi...so far alhamdulillah dia dah jarang kena demam, sesema kekadang kena gak tapi kami jarang kasi ubat, saje nak train immunity body dia utk lawan sendiri kuman and virus2 tuh. Tapi skang ni ekzema plak yg menyerang, maybe disebabkan faktor persekitaran yg tidak sihat, i.e habuk2, udara, etc etc...agak teruk kali ni dia kena, habis dahi, leher, siku and but dia melecet and merah...hopefully after sapu krim and mkn ubat dia akan recover sepenuhnya. Esok nak gi wat passport, tapi dahi dia berbintik2 merah..sure org igt baby mama kena chicken pox huhu

Progress Idlan so far:
- bila kami sebut "Idlan...buat chicken little": dia akan kepak2 and hayun tangan dia cam chicken
- bila abah angguk2 kepala atas bawah : dia angguk2 kepala dia gak sampai cam nak tercabut leher tuh
- now suke benar pinpoint kan jari telunjuk dia, kat kami, kat benda, kat ape2 jer ikut suke hati dia
- suka acah2 nak kasik brg kat kita, bila nak amik brg tuh, dia tak kasik pon
- suke main cak cak, gelak sakan giler sambil tunjukkan gigi 8 btg dia
- masih belum jln dgn betul lagi. Kat umah umi bley jln 10-14 steps, balik umah sendiri malas yg amat. Dilepaskan tgn dia, dia cuma berdiri, hayun2 tangan kiri kanan cam exercise, henjut2 badan, at last lowered his body and merangkak! frust betul mama tau!
- mulut rajin membebel aka berborak ngan kami...tapi bahasa german/jepun la yg kuar hehe. Bila buat2 tanye dia something, dia akan jawab dgn panjang skali (macam one full sentence)..tapi sori dear, mama ngan abah tak paham :p
- suke tgk iklan yg ade pompuan. Time nangis pon bley berhenti bila tetiba kuar advert yg ade pompuan, cam iklan rambut....(suke tgk pompuan cantik kots!)
- tersangatlah manja ngan mama and abah...macam org tak cukup kasih sayang ragamnyer
- perkataan "abah" dah ilang dr kamus otaknyer...time 11 bulan dulu pandai sebut abah dgr jelas skali, skang tidak lagi huhu
- tak pernah nangis time pepagi antar ke nursery, dari dulu sampai sekarang. TAPI isnin lepas after balik dr hospital, hantar semula ke nursery, dia nangis sakan....adui luluh hati mama ni... terpaksa lari cecepat tinggalkan dia.

Itulah permata hati kami...yg buat kitorang gelak tgk perangai dia, yg buat kitorang geram bila dia manja terover, bijak berkata-kata dan trick org, malas praktis jln, hehehe tak kisahlah...esok lusa pasti akan jalan jugak ek!

dear, the July intake does exist! i wasnt wrong and am certainly good at making assumption dont u think so? it was found that mmu hasnt updated their brochure since when-i-dunno- and they do actually offer intake in july yuhuuu....all my certs and application form are now ready to be sent:)

anyone out there interested? do come and join me, classes on weekdays, min duration 1.5 yrs, max 5 yrs (lamanyer!), fees RM21.4k but you can seek for T* sponsorship probably in April/May, hmm ape lagi eh...ha bley kita form group assemen sesama jom!

i dont know what happen to myself...either i've been thinking too much about it that cause my imaginary state of mind assumed that there IS a July intake for the course...or i've been mistakenly confused myself with other intakes offered by other univ.

Sorry my dear self, there is and there will be NO july intake ok, no no no!

where to dump our money?

As a continuation on Aini's post on the status of ASB:

- i've decided to take out half of my money and deposit it in Tabung Haji (and yes i dont have any TH account, so that requires me to open up a new account with TH).
- i'll maintain the other half of it inside ASB, and that will be used to finance my mba soon (soon=either march or july intake, am still thinking about it)
-hubby will also transfer his money into TH
-we'll terminate ASW idlan, open up a new TH account for him, and transfer all the money into TH
- apart from that, we've looking for any other attractive financial instruments like fixed deposit, dinar emas, etc etc...fixed deposit is not to our favour at the moment. The dividen offered is quite low compared to TH, plus lower liquidity in the sense that the money parked inside cannot be taken out before the maturity period agreed beforehand. Dinar emas, we're still digging up some info on it. Playing shares wouldnt be a good option at the moment, according to my informer, the market is going upside down and the risk is well, higher! Unit trust, hmm we're not interested to invest particularly because of the lower return, plus longer terms of investment for promising returns. Bank rakyat, obviously that was the best option besides ASB but sorry dear, the offer is already closed.

Oh i forgot to mention, yesterday we managed to get idlan's photos been captured in passport size. He's only 13 mo and he'll be having his own international passport soon, see how lucky he is to have a mother and father like us hehe

With that, i couldnt stop myself from counting and hoping time to fly as fast as possible. Our March holiday escapade is waiting, plus my mba intake (if jadi amik bulan march hehe)....see the conflict, if i were to start my class on march, i'll have to escape 2 weeks of lectures for our holiday, that'll be on march and june. Plus i have to forward my own money for registration thingy bla bla bla...but if i wait till july, i'd probably being able to secure for T* scholar, plus being able to enjoy the holiday with free of mind. So that leaves a big question mark in my head...no wonder it keeps on spinning :p

Those working in KL, i bet they're still lazing around in house, either snuggle in bed, already woke up and now watching the astro while having a cup of coffee, the mothers might settled themselves in kitchen preparing simple breakfast for the family, not forgetting to dump the tonnes of clothes in the washing machine, letting the machine to do its works, and you, now sitting in front of pc in the office, with headset on top of your head, answering calls and entertaining your customers, of whom being in the same shoes with you. Pity you and your customers haha :p

5 days holiday wasnt that great to us, merely because we didnt spend our nights elsewhere. Yes we still went out to shopping complex and some other places, but still the feeling is different. We went to IOI Mall, to Alamanda twice, Rawang and Klang for wedding, and to Bagan Lalang beach in Sepang with just the 3 of us. With that kind of usual outings we still managed to get ourselves broke by having our lunch twice in secret recipe. The first trip was on hubby's treat, and i would strongly suggest you guys to taste their brownie with vanilla ice cream topping...and oh, together with ice chocolate with whipped cream. Those two are great and worth the money spent! That was on saturday, and yesterday, again we decided to go and have that brownie and ice choc again as dessert.

ok then that's it, my head is spinning, my eyes are blurry, i guess the nerves and joints are just not prepared to do their works, so as the whole body of mine....

The issue of halal or haram on ASB again been hotly discussed recently, and i believe most of us had came up with the real answer. Me and hubby are now looking for other alternative instruments to tranfer the money that we've deposited inside there and still, we're not sure of where to park the money :(

We surely need to take a full one day leave to settle all this stuffs, take the asb money out and place it elsewhere, open a new TH account for idlan, change the beneficiary name for our kwsp, change our takaful insurance plan, and many others more.

Oh btw Happy Chinese New Year (to my chinese frens if they happen to read my entry) and happy enjoying your long holidays to the rest.

And as expected, long holiday means you'll receive a long list of frens wedding invitation. Diet for asthma and eczema

Q: I have a six-year-old daughter who suffers from asthma and eczema. I have heard about controlling these illnesses through diet. Is there a connection, and what foods might be helpful or harmful for her? Thank you for your time.

A: Diet can affect asthma in two ways. First, some foods can provoke asthma attacks by causing an allergic reaction. If you find that eating certain foods are closely followed by an asthma attack, then, as you probably know, those foods need to be eliminated from your daughter's diet in order to prevent such attacks. Some of the most common food-allergy asthma triggers are: eggs, nuts, milk, sulfites, fish and chocolate.
Diet can also affect asthma by helping to control the severity of an attack. Food can actually dilate air passageways, opening them up for freer breathing. One of the best-known foods for doing this is coffee, due to the caffeine, but you not want to offer coffee to your daughter, as caffeine can have other unwanted side effects. Food can also help by thinning the mucus so that it can move out of the airways, easing breathing.
There are even some foods that offer an immediate relief from an attack. The foods in this category include the spicy, pungent foods like chili, hot mustard, garlic and onions. It may be that these hot foods work by stimulating nerves, resulting in the release of watery fluid in the mouth, throat and lungs. This watery secretion will help to thin down the mucus so that it can more easily move out of the airways. Thirdly, some foods can control inflammation of the airways because they contain anti-inflammatory components in their chemical makeup. Foods that help to do this include onions (these are particularly good), fatty fish (fish oil is a proven anti-inflammatory high in omega 3 fatty acids) and vitamin C-packed foods.
Studies have also shown that a diet high in dairy and meat cause more asthma attacks than vegetarian diets. It may be that there are more allergenic components in dairy and meat. Vegetable oils high in omega-6 fatty acids should be avoided as it promotes inflammation. Oils high in omega-6 fatty acids include sunflower oil, corn oil and safflower oil.
Like asthma, a flare-up of eczema can be triggered by allergen-containing foods. Similarly, the way to prevent the flare-up is to avoid the food. In order to prevent unnecessary restriction of foods in your daughter's diet, it would be wise to consult with an allergist so that you can pinpoint the culprit. Unlike asthma, however, I cannot find evidence of diet affecting the treatment of eczema. It seems that more atopic cures must be used. In addition to avoiding the offending food, if that is the cause of your daughter's eczema, try to keep your daughter well-hydrated. This will help insure that her skin does not dry out and become flaky, compounding the eczema.

I've finished reading Azizi Ali's book for quite some time and only now i got time to share with u all some of the useful tips:

- pay yourself first : the concept is simple, allocate min 10% of your monthly income for OWN savings. But of course, the higher the better.

- debts : there are good debts and bad debts. Good debt is when you fork out a sum of money to buy fixed asset of which can generate income in future. Eg: buying a house/apartment and rent it out. Bad debts are those that only cause cash outflows out of ur pocket, like buying a car (which is depreciates in value), using credit card to purchase items and pay not within due dates, etc. So its good to make debts but do ensure the assets can generate money for you.

- mortgage payments - instead of committing yourself for monthly repayment, opt for fortnightly payments. Eg, your house monthly loan is RM900, so instead of paying RM900 every month, you pay RM450 every fortnights. You'll notice that the total monthly repayments will be the same but the total yearly repayments is different. Now you're paying 26 fortnights per year instead of 12 months per year. You're paying RM900 extra per year isnt it?

- insurance - those that are still single/bachelor, it's not wise for you to take insurance. Reason? no one is depending on your income/money should something happen to you (but personally i think if you're naming your parents as the beneficiary and they're not that rich to be able to live with their own money, you'll be considered as anak yg baik & berbudi if u have one!). Hence it would be much wiser if you put aside a portion of your money on savings with higher returns. So stop thinking that ohhh i must have an insurance when everybody is busy signing up one for themselves!

The key points above are written randomly, Azizi had actually describe every single detail in separate chapters of the book. So forgive me for not be able to write it in sequence...i just jotted down whatever points that came across now :)

1001 ways of earning extra money

Isnt that title catchy enough and of the interest of any human beings living in this real world full of challenges ahead?

I've just read tsunamiwang e-book and yes, there're so many new ways of generating extra income of which many of us are not aware of it. Some might have read it somewhere, some might have learned it from their colleagues, or some might just pay ignorance attention to it due to reasons that they themselves only know.

Azizi Ali's book could be a good source of reference on how we can be in control of our own money. Handling money is one thing, be in full control of it is another BIG issue. Some of you might encounter people who earns a lot every mth and yet still get broke when month ends came. When you ask them, they just say they're not sure where the money goes. They just couldnt explain how their hard-earned money flows out in a blink of eye. Hence i dont get surprise if the saving accounts of the low paid people shows higher amounts compared to the one with higher salary paid. Reason is simple, they save. And they use brains to manage their money. Not to say they dont fork out a portion of their income on leisure, surely they do, but not to the excessive amounts that can cause them to be broke by the end of the month.

I'm writing this not because my accounts are tip top, neither i'm rich enough to give my humble advise and opinion about financial management. It's just that to me the topic is very interesting and still there're a lot to be explored, shared and discovered for the benefit of all.

Azizi Ali talks more on property investment, and no doubt it could be a good source of passive income to you but definitely it requires a huge sum of capital to be invested. I'm still not in a position to get involve in the property world due to my lack of savings hehe...Akmal Ariff reveals the potential of Internet as a powerful tool to earn extra money, provided you're willing to spare some time to learn and uncover things that people might find it to be impossible yet it is still possible and exist. ntah kenapa rasa malas sangat nak tulis blog, terlalu byk benda dlm kepala yg difikirkan, sampai nak jam pon ader hehe...ape ade dlm kepala saye sekarang:

- keinginan utk sambung blajar, masalahnyer at times semangat tu tinggi menjulang, at certain point tetiba dia menjunam balik debusshhh, cam choc fudge plak rasa, apesal diri ini..malas ke ape yati oiiii. Diri dah jenuh meminta pendpt dari hubby tercinta, dari mak, dari idlan (hehe tipu jer), dari kengkawan..mostly kasik pendpt positive & memberangsangkan..tapi ape yg aku tunggu lagi yer?
- ha this is the best part, antara nak sambung buat M Phil atau MBA. MBA agak leceh, dgn klas nyer, assigmentnyer, presentationnyer, the biggest part: exam!, thesis lagik....M Phil plak lebey flexi, tapi kena ade skill buat research, pandai pilih topic, pandai buat karangan...adus aku bley ke lagi buat sumer tuh?
- funding: cuma ade satu option menarik yakni scholar T*. Tapi iklan cuma akan kuar bulan 4 nanti, means kalo aku amik intake march aku kena forward duit sendiri dulu, of which am sooo not favour to do so hehe (kalo T* takmo sponsor lagikla haru). Other alternative would be outside source...mara hmm no longer allocating budget to sponsor for master, jpa aku tak layak, personal loan...ohhh ni option tak bagus dan aku tak suker berhutang piutang ni, ape lagik eh...FAMA, hmm ni pon tak bagus, takkan dari kecik sampai besar nak susahkan org tua ye dak?
- tempat: mmu is the most probable place i'll be choosing if i were to continue, reason? dekat ngan ofis dan rumah, a very convenient place indeed sbb dah familiar dgn selok belok Univ ni. U lain jauh, eventho dlm hati tingin sgt nak rasa environment ipta (except U*M, my ex-mba Univ hehe)

Dlm pening2 lalat tuh, diri ni dah pasang angan-angan yg jauh ke hadapan. Konvo!!! hehe kalo aku intake march 2006, aku akan abis dlm march 2008, so konvo most probably around august 2008. Tapi time tuh maybe kami ade mega project, pegi berjln ke U* utk attend konvo adik ipar aku (insya allah kalo dia abis la time tuh) So if it happens that our konvo date clash, takkan aku nak attnd konvo aku sesorang kat mesia while pruz ngan idlan ade kat sana...oh tidak tidakkkksss

yes i'm back

It did require strong strength for you to wake up early and realize that was the time for you to drag your lazy body to the toilet, have shower and dressed up for work. That was yesterday. Yesterday the bad day (i'll tell u later), after a long one week holiday in two kampungs.

Our holiday went well, things went smooth as planned, except the most tiring journey back to kelantan that took us nearly 10 hrs. 4 days in kelantan, we had the ever delicious nasi berlauk/dagang as breakfast, made a shopping trip to rantau panjang that to me was like a heaven place for you to shop till u drop :p, again another shopping trip to pengkalan kubur that is very near to my nenek's house, and yes our little boy finally knows how a beach looks alike. But he only 'cecah' his legs onto the sand and never dare to sit on it, probably because that was his first time. Hubby had all the chance to taste many different kinds of local kuih muih that were sooo colourful and sweet of which i've never had any interest to taste it all my life.

Moving on, we headed to junjung kedah the day after raya haji using Grik highway. Our first time using that route, by no means i expect the road to be of such bengkang bengkok like u climb cameron. I had nausea, so did idlan i guess because he vomitted twice. But alhamdulillah we did reached home safely.

In Kedah we took the chance to bring idlan to a waterfall, Air Terjun Air Putih, that is very near to his tok's house. As a result, idlan was down for fever for 3 days....rasa nyesal plak bawak dia huhu.

Ok back to office story, yesterday was truly my bad day. i had migrain since the morning, maybe because of the body intolerance to the excessive coldness of my office air cond. Plus the massive no of dockets for that day, and the bad thing, the fight that i had with customer back in tokyo. We had fight (we includes myself, my colleague and my AGM) with this one fellar of which the blame is not at our side. Misunderstanding occurred between THAT fellar with his tokyo colleague and u see, senang2 dia fire kitorang kat mesia ni.

on our way back, about 2 min we were about to reach home, i vomitted with one hand holding idlan and another hand holding a plastic. Lucky i managed to grab the plastic, if not the front seat definitely needs to be cleaned and vacuumed. So that was the story of yesterday. I went to sleep early at 8pm with empty stomach and bad headache, woke up at 515 in the morning to perform solat isya' and today back to the office, feeling more healthier and ceria hehe....

and remember one of our cost saving action plan, preparing our own breakfast works well till today...keep up the good work my dear self!

our first jalan2 habis duit shall commence!

I just cant wait to see tomorrow. What does tomorrow have for me? Well, we surely gonna wake up around 5am, take the shower, put on simple clothes, perform the prayer, prepare idlan's porridge, pack our foods, wake him up, make a last minute spotcheck, turn on the engine.........and tadaaaaa Kelantan here we come!!!

Yes, am gonna off for the whole week for our balik kg cum cuti2 malaysia trip. The next few days will be spent in kelantan and kedah. Balik kg sounds very ordinary, so i'd rather called it our jalan2 habis duit trip :) I just cant wait to see how kelantan looks like after about errr...2 yrs kot. The last time we sat foot in kelantan was in year 2003, that was after we got married. That also means it's gonna be idlan's first visit to his grandma's hometown. I hope our journey with the two toddlers (idlan and his cousin, hana) wont take us too long. I dare not imagine how i can stay inside the car for about 6-8 hours, bertempur with him all way long. Dahla takde highway kan :p

4 days in kelantan, we'll celebrate our raya haji there, do some shopping spree in pengkalan kubur, rantau panjang and pasar kota bharu, go to pantai tujuh and let idlan sees how a beach looks like, and guess what, the thing that i look forward most is............the special breakfast! well ppl there usually have nasi kerabu or nasi berlauk for their breakfast. And I usually get 2 bungkus for myself nyumm nyummm.

The next day after raya haji we'll be heading to junjung, kedah that is my hubby's hometown. Hopefully this time hubby will take me to some of the places i never had the chance to go before, bley eh yang??

Oh btw hubby just bought a new red greyish Tenderly buggy for idlan. The only main reason is because his current stroller is too big for our bonnet...plus the fact that our bonnet are 3/4 fully loaded with his things ONLY... orgnye kecik tapi barangnyer banyak hohoho

farewell 2005, welcome 2006...

Looks like we have few more days left before we bid goodbye to the year of 2005. There're so many things, events and stories that i'd like to write down but again am not good at rearranging all those stories into proper sequence so allow me to write whatever things that cross my mind now...

I started 2005 with myself grounded at home for confinement period. And yes, alhamdulillah idlan was safely delivered at SJMC on friday, 10th dec 2004. Though i was on c-sect because the baby was breech, and confinement period was quite tense and tiry for i couldnt move around at ease due to the pain, im so grateful for having pruzz, the greatest hubby on earth and my mom aka umi to accompany and help me throughout the period. First few weeks was tough, i was bed ridden on the first day, the next day i could already stand and moved with my body halfly bended, the following days things got easier and again the credits shd go to my hubby, he was the one who mandikan idlan, changed diapers, etc etc...and he was truly good at it tho it was his first time :) Luv u!!!

Days flied with us having new responsibilities, being the mother and father to a little cute baby. Not an easy job for first timers like us, definitely there were flaws here n there, but alhamdulillah we can coped with that. But dugaan Allah tiada sape yg tahu..we fret when he was diagnosed having pnuemonia at 7mo. I was on leave for a week, plus a few more days on mc (courtesy of the doc yg baik hati) to take care of him. The anxiety that we had that time, hanya tuhan yg mengerti. And i guess our prayers were heard...he recovered and till now he grows as a healthy little boy, no more major illness except the normal flu yg sekali-kala dtg bertandang :) At current stage, he can already stand on his own, meniti from one end to another, climb the stairs (i guess he just figured out that the stairs are interesting enough for him to play with :p) till upstairs dgn lajunya, but lucky enough for me he didnt notice that apart from climbing he can also descend the stairs! And the cheeky part about him, he likes to imitate some of the things that either me or hubby did. When we chat and laugh over something, suddenly he laughs as if he understands us, we clap hands he also claps, abah tampar peha mama he also tampar me but mind u the intensity was much higher sbb tgn dia kocik kan, abah buat2 batuk dia pon ikut batuk, abah sembur dia sembur, ask to show hands for salam he also salam and cium tgn kita with the saliva, etc etc....the list is too long to be written over here but ya allah, thank u so much for giving us the opportunity to witness all these things. It was indeed such a great experience that no one can trade it off with anything.

Career wise, well i got nothing to be impressed upon to share with u, overall things going well in 1090, i develop some of the skills of which i hardly used when i was in finance before. Good relationship was established with 'some' of the customers, bad ones still do not exist lucky me :p, negotiating over things that usually of not in the interest of the customer, well am also good at it..now that they should know they're not always in the 'RIGHT' postition. My beloved hubby alhamdulillah settled his master already, so moving on next to c0mplete his journals and later, the phd. As for myself, i didnt intend to pursue, no doubt i had difficulties to decide but after thinking and digging every single views i have, yes i've decided not to. Not in this very short term but who knows i might continue when i reach 30 years old...hehe iyola tuh :p I've no specific reason, not that i'm afraid to face all the challenges or obstacles awaits ahead, ntahla, the determination is not there. I dont want things to be running halfway like before, so better dont than quit in the middle. Well maybe am not ready to sacrifice the time that i have now, lazying around with the family every weekends, tgk tv, tgk movie, shower the utmost attention and love i can give to idlan and hubby, bla bla bla....byknyer alasan aku eh?? hmm i just try to be honest to myself :) So to my dear frens out there (specifically aini and julie), my very best wishes to the both of u, may u all fulfill and complete the course wth flying colours! Aku tumpang gembira utk korang jela ok!

Moving on to the new year, i've already marked my calendar for our jalan2 habis duit activities! Yes am sure there'll be lots of fun waiting ahead, but of course i have to forgo something in order to get something, nothing is free in this real world we're living in right? My cuti my money...ohhhh i keep on looking and calculating and organizing my budget, though sounds pathetic but hey, i need to do proper arrangement so that i can go for the holidays with complete peace of mind kan...hehehe

And hopefully we can move in to our very new/own house next year...though it's not our dream house and it's not that BIG compared to others, it still mean a lot to us because we're forking our very own hard earned money to buy it :) but to move in means another sum of cashflows going out kan? hehe pening pening tp takper, still have time to save and save....

Since there're so many forecasted cashflows already parked in our book, we've decide to apply some cost cutting activities next yr, maybe i shd say our azam taun baru kot hehe...so rank top of the list are:
- no more unnecessary weekend outing to shopping malls (right now i can say almost every weekend we gonna have shopping trip either sat or sunday)
- cut daily expenses by preparing breakfast, both for me n hubby (that requires strength and will to be able to wake up early and cook not only for idlan's meal but also us :p)
- to be in control not to buy soooo many new clothes/other things for idlan (this only apply to me)

The second item works well for the past 2 days, hope we can maintain and sustain the rest of the activities for our own good.

when we talk about patience....

A lot of things had happened over the weekend…of which I guess really challenge my ability to control my patience.

On Friday, we went to Poliklinik NurFaxxxxx to get medicines for Idlan’s allergy. He developed rashes and the skin got itchy and it worsen after he scratched it all over. We applied the cream prescribed by the doc while he watched his all time favourite, sesame street count 123. And about 3 min later he suddenly cried and wailed and oh god we did everything we could to comfort him yet he still wailed and crying and crying. Last resort, kami baca ayat2 pelindung dan sebagainya and thank god he felt asleep eventually. So our conclusion that night, he might have saw ‘something’ yg kita takleh nampak….

The very next morning, again before we send him to nursery, we applied the cream. And few minutes afterwards there he goes again like the night before…menangis tak igt. Then we decided to go to the clinic, something must be wrong with the medicine, else he wont reacted that way. We told the same doctor we met yesterday, the doc showed us 2 medicines, asked us to smell the contents and yes, her assistants had gave us the wrong ubat. The one she gave us is ubat kurap u see! No wonder it smells horrible and strong even after I washed my fingers. That time I felt like slapping budak kaunter tuh, even after the doc scolded her, she can still smiled and pretend to know nothing. Dahlah make up tebal giler…eii bley plaks senyum2 kat aku. Both the doc and her assistant apologized for their carelessness…but what if something happen to my son, say the skin get burns or hishh I rather not to say or imagine it here…do they want to bear the consequences for their negligence? Rasa macam nak saman je klinik tuh!

Ok enough about the medicine. Now the story about my new hp. Suddenly on Thursday afternoon when I made call to another party, or received calls, the B party couldn’t hear my voice. I godak2 the hp, checked the menu, take out the battery and put it on again, bla bla bla..but still no one can hear my voice. Time tuh rasa cam nak mendidih dah…ape ni hp baru mahal plak tuh pakai tak sampai 3 minggu dah rosak??? So the next day we went to the shop, I made the talk, my hubby just kept silent. And u know what, I think I’ve managed to frightened that mamat selling the phones. So being not the usual I am, I yelled him, and biasala bebel2 tak igt. He made me to wait about 40 min to check, and alhamdulillah hp tu ok. He said it was due to cross config error with the software, so he re-intalled the software. Ok fine then. And yes, I managed to get my casing changed (tu pon memula mamat tu ckp nak kena tanye bos la itu la ini la), the previous one got a bit scratch here and there, but it wasn’t my fault ok. Mmg dah calar2 sket but my mistake I didn’t checked it the moment he handovered the phone..hehe padan muka dia.

BUT, on Saturday, haa ni mmg rasa cam nak meletup tahap gaban…time tgh charge hp tetiba dia stop. Charger plak rosak!!! Marah tak marah tak??? Eii rasa cam nak pelangkung mamat tuh…luckily I had the old charger in hand kalau idak, I’ll be handphoneless for the rest of the weekend ( tu pun terpaksa pegi ofis amik charger). I didn’t go the shop again to claim for a new charger, hati tak teringin nak tgk muka mamat tuh….i’ll wait till myself get calm and composed, then only im ready to go and face that mamat again. What a hectic weekend la :(

antara study, career dan family...

Hm baru je selesai bace recent post Aini 'perihal study'. Last week masa on job training ade berborak dgn Erly pasal further study. Erly tgh buat master, dah final stage, tinggal tesis je skang ni. Erly tanye, kenape brilliant students cam korang2 ni takmo sambung dah eh? julie, chot, ko, etc etc.....aku hanya mampu gelak je heheheh...brilliant kah aku?? hoho mungkin tidak lagi sekarang ni :( Kami berborak pasal life bebudak batch aku after grad dari mmu. Erly ckp ramai budak2 yg sambung master adalah average student, yg scorer ape dah jadi? Dan buat ntah ke berapa kali aku pon bukak la story pasal diri aku...kisahnyer....

Right after grad dpt masuk telekom, aku attached kat FMA, financial mgmt & analysis. Dulu time interview depa tanye nak masuk unit mane? aku dgn bangga dan bersemangat menjawab, "SAYA NAK BUAT FINANCE/ACCOUNTING RELATED JOBS'. Dan mungkin dah rezeki, aku dpt buat keje finance. Mmg mencabar that time utk budak baru grad spt aku, keje byk giler, susah plak tu, penat tak terkata, bz toksah nak ckp, slalu stay back lamat balik...tp ramai puji aku cepat pick up..so aku stay lagik kat situ. At the same time aku, mafus, mama and halim pegi register ACCA..bayar dlm RM300++...pegi BCB buat bank draft utk bayar kat ACCA UK. Siap dpt membership card ACCA lagik..bangga bukan main. Taaapi, tak sempat aku nak start kelas, pressure keje dah bertambah & aku rasa dah takleh cope lagi. Kalau nak attend klas after opis mmg aku rasa tak sempat sbb slalu balik lambat. So akhirnya, aku decide utk quit. Duit burn, card dah tak bermakna, segala-galanya hancur. Dlm masa yg sama, aku berkira-kira utk tukar department. Rasa tak larat dah nak buat keje tu. Jumpa AGM, dia tak kasik kluar. Kena ade concrete reason. Hari berganti hari, aku try jumpe agm lagi mintak kluar dgn alasan baru " saya dah tak minat buat keje accounts, saye nak buat sales". AGM kata kena ade org ganti. Aku sibuk tanye bebudak lain kat opis tuh ade tak yg sanggup tukar tpt ngan aku, sorang pon takmo..sumer takut kot hehe...akhirnye dpt tahu ade sorang budak baru nak masuk ofis aku, so berjaye la aku handover keje aku kat dia. Dan bermulalah saat aku bertukar menjadi AE di CGG plak.

Ok tu citer ACCA. Skang citer MBA plak. Since aku dah tak berminat utk buat keje accounts, aku decide utk amik MBA plak. So dpt enroll kat upm around may 2004 kots..time tu tgh pregnant 2 bln++. Amik upm sbb dekat ngan umah kami di seri kembangan. Klas start pukul 630pm till 930pm. Ofis time tu kat menara, so sharp kol 5pm aku blah cecepat naik keta terus direct ke upm. Oh jap, on the way mmg dah jadi rutin utk singgah kat drive thru mines beli beef burger. Kenape beef burger je? sbb tu paling kecik n cepat utk dimakan sebelum masuk klas. Slalunye sampai kat upm ngam2 kol 630pm, or 615pm...so sempatla telan burger tuh. Klasmate 98% chinese, lecturer sumer chinese/indian takde malay langsung, so pepahamla time break tu la kami kena solat and mkn. Nak solat kena panjat 2 tingkat utk ke bilik solat yg teramatla crowded nyer! Time tu jugak rushing utk mkn..kadang mmg aku dah mkn burger tp time pregnant ni aku senang loya kalo perut kosong. So still curik masa utk isi perut...mkn mane yg sempat. Dlm kelas kena prepare asam and sweets bebyk sbb time tu tgh loya tahap gaban. Aku rasa cam robot, dlm klas sure ngantuk, penat keje, penat drive lelaju, penat turun naik tangga nak solat, segala-galanye kena pantas. Balik umah everyday ade assignment, every week ade presentation. Giler ke ape..bila nak discuss ngan groupmate? depa ni tak paham ke kita ni part time bukan full time. Nak sacrifice time weekend utk diskusi? ohh tidakkkss.....so kekadang aku akan stay back utk berdiskusi..that means aku akan balik lambat ke rumah. i really hate that.

Dan minggu ke-3 kot tak silap aku adalah saat pengakhirannya proses pembelajaran aku. Habis dari klas, sampai gate rumah dlm pukul 11pm, aku muntah kat gate...gate baru bukak separuh kot hehe....kepala pening yg amat, tekak loya, bdn flat. Masuk je umah, terus ckp kat pruz, kite nak QUIT! pruz tenangkan aku dulu, tanye betul ke nak quit ni nanti tak nyesal ke bla bla bla...tapi aku nekad jugak. So esok pagi tu pegi upm, antar surat berhenti blajar, cuba dptkan duit refund, mujur sempat berhenti sebelum tarikh yg ditetapkan kalo idak langsung tak dpt refund hehe....dan itulah kisah aku.

sebenarnye apart from berhenti sbb tak tahan pressure, sbb utama aku berhenti ialah tak suke style upm. Lecturer tak mengajar sgt pon, cuma kasik case study and suruh kite buat assignment and presentation. Takde lecture notes, takde pepe. Dtg klas cuma utk berdiscussion. Walaupun subject pertama yg aku amik was accounting (dan sepatutnye aku tak pressure sbb aku dah penah blajar dulu), tp aku still tension ngan lecturer tuh and style dia.

kesimpulannya, aku tak cukup tabah utk hadapi dugaan blajar time keje ni..keje byk aku pressure, yes aku mmg salute kengkawan rapat aku yg dah slamat habis MBA/acca derang. Derang mmg tabah dan rajin!

so itulah yati...skang dah jadik yati 1090, no more accounting thingies in my head. Yati 1090 yg dah bergelar ibu dan isteri hehe...rasanye inilah kehidupan yg dicari-cari kots...and aku bahagia dan gembira dgn keputusan aku. Nyesal tak jadik CPA? takkkkk...nyesal takde master? takkkkkk....am truly really heppy with what i have now....:)

seperti jawapan aku kpd erly, mmg kita kena pilih antara study & family. Bukan sumer org berjaya dlm kedua-dua pilihan yg diambil. Dan aku, aku pilih family.

perjalanan weekend kami...

Sabtu lepas Idlan diberi jab MMR di az zahrah bangi. Sebelum tu kitorang beri dia ubat demam dulu, ni petua yg kitorang dpt utk takmo kasik anak demam lepas injection. Idlan nangis kejap time jarum dicucuk, pastuh good boy diam and sengih balik. Timbang berat, alhamdulillah anak mama dah 9.5kg. Lepas cucuk mama n abah round2 kat warta bangi. Abah nak carik sandal tp since idlan dah ngantuk2 campur rengek sket, lepas lunch terus balik. Ha idlan sempat membuat projek time kitorang lunch, so dlm keta terpaksa salin pampers dulu...kaki dah menendang2 nak marah tp mujur ta** idlan tak kena seat keta hehe

Blk umah kitorang kasik idlan sleep..lama betul dia tido, kepenatan kots. Bgn tido lepas mandi mama feed bubur+sup ikan tenggiri sambil tgk Sesame Street Count 1 2 3. Mmg tak sia2 beli vcd tu, idlan suke benar tgk...so skang time feeding mesti kena depan tv sambil pasang citer tu...gerenti bubur habis dan feeding time pon berjaya dishortenkan kpd 1/2 jam jer :))) Tq soooo much to elmo, bernie, ernie and geng!! Sehari dlm 3-4x akan ade ulang tayang citer ni..so jgn tak percaya kalo aku ckp aku ngan pruz dah almost hafal sumer lagu2 dlm citer ni hehe. Kpd sesiapa yg nak ajar anak mereka mengira sambil have fun, di recommend kan beli vcd ni, gerenti seronok anak anda and sure cepat pandai!

Ptg pukul 6pm kitorang kuar pegi JJ IOI plak. Mama and abah idlan mmg jenis yg x reti duk diam kat umah...weekend mesti berjln. Akhirnyer abah berjaya jumpe sandal yg berkenan di hati. Skang tgh sales, tp tade plak kasut/handbag yg best, so mama just beli t shirt turtle neck yg bertag 'for men' :p

Ahad dihabiskan di rumah sahaja...mujur berjaya stay dlm rumah je, kalo idak sure duit abis lagi hehe. So rutin weekend berjln seperti biasa...bgn pagi masak bubur, masak sup, basuh baju, sidai baju (ni abah buat), breakfast, feed idlan breakfast (kali ni try kasik roti and cheese sekeping, berjaya dia abiskan!), sleepkan idlan..bla bla bla....rasa best dpt spend one full day dgn idlan, kasik dia mkn, mandikan dia, sleepkan dia, tgk dia main ke hulu hilir ikut kita, kitorang lunch dia pon menyibuk nak lunch, mama baring dia sibuk melenjan badan mama, abah bace paper dia sibuk renyukkan paper, etc etc.....hmm alhamdulillah dah setahun lebey anak mama...terima kasih tuhan kerana memberi kami peluang menjadi ibu & ayah kepada insan kecil bernama anak...sesungguhnya kami teramat bersyukur di atas peluang & nikmat yg Kau beri ini....

on job training

Kelmarin & hari ni masa aku dihabiskan di Data MSC cyber utk on job training..aku partner bersama Ina. Dan kitorang diajar oleh En Erly..hehe mujur kenal Erly, kalo idak sure malu2 time nak blajar nih. Hari pertama dihabiskan dgn briefing pasal leased line, network, bla bla bla oleh Erly. Ptg erly bwk naik ke exchange ngan MDF, so buat kali kedua (selepas PUJ) aku dpt tgk caner rupa equipment2 dlm exchange yg sejuk bangat tuh! Skang aku dah kenal apekah node, ddf, channel, port, fiber system, , jumper, fiber cable, copper cable, coax cable, ntu, test gear, etc etc....haha rasa bangga & excited plak sbb dah kenal...so Mr/Ms Customers, pasnih jgn memain ngan yati 1090, yati 1090 dah pandai sket :p

Pagi tadi kami menunggu di ofis data msc, tunggu doket keluar..tp malangnya pagi ni takde doket plak..ish melepas nak ikut repair team pegi buat doket. So erly yg baik hati (dia sebenarnye cuti minggu ni) bwkla kitorang naik kembara TM pi round cyber and seri kembangan. So tadi aku and ina dah kenal mane satu kabinet (ade copper ade fiber), kalo fiber tuh org panggil RT/FTTS..pastuh dari kabinet kami trace D-side overhead/underground cable, pastuh straight trace DP (dari DP wire disambung terus ke umah kite). Ha aku dah kenal manhole, manhole tu yg kat tepi2 jln tu cam lubang ninja turtle. Tapi takleh bukak masuk ke dlm, berat & susah nak bukak yer. Dlm manhole bley muat max 20 org...nak turun kena pakai tangga & torchlight.

Kejap lagi insya allah kalau ade doket bleyla kitorang ikut repair team pi buat doket..bley masuk SDF customer tgk2 ape ade dlm tuh...dan kalau takde doket, erly dah paksa anak2 buah dia utk bwk kitorang pegi bukak kabinet dan tgk bende2 dlm kabinet tuh...tak sabarnyer!

[2] HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY (10 Dec) to our beloved Idlan Farhan. Semoga anak mama & abah membesar dgn sihat, menjadi insan yg soleh & berjaya dlm hidup di dunia mahupun di akhirat kelak...insya allah. Mama & abah luvs u sooooo muchhhh!!

:: Kitorang celebrate besday idlan kat umah umi kat ampang bersama2 ngan besday cousin dia, Hannah Yasmin (29 Nov). Kami beli kek chocolate indulgence utk Idlan, mummy hana plak buat sendiri besday kek hana...atas icing kaler pink, dlmnyer strawberry+walnut kek. Kitorang pot luck food, so umi goreng mihun and buat nasi impit, mama idlan buat fetuccine alfredo and choc chips muffin (kali ni muffin ku menjadi dgn sedapnyerr hehehe) and mummy hana buat roti jala+kari ayam. Kesian mummy hana, mangkuk vision berisi kuah roti jalanyer terhempas dek buatan adik aku time nak angkat dari keta..so disebabkan serpihan kaca termasuk dlm kuah tu, makanye umi terpaksa buang the whole kuah+isi ayam..isk iskkk tensen betul ngan adik ni careless dan kasar betul. Tade rezeki kami nak rasa roti jala kali ni.

:: time nak tiup lilin dua2 besday boy and girl tgh keletihan sbb x cukup tido...idlan dah merengek2, so kami pump susu kejap kasik dia bertenaga balik, kak hana dia pon dah rengek2...kasik relaks dulu. So kami makan2 dulu, in the middle baru potong kek. Tu pon susah nak capture shot menarik utk besday boy n girl ni. Payah yg amat nak kasik depa behave depan kek huhu...so gambar pakai amik jela mane yg sempat janji ader!

:: Alhamdulillah perut sumer kenyang dan food byk lebih. So cam biasa at the end tu sesi tapau mentapau dijalankan. kek idlan hampir runtuh sbb dah lama duk kat luar :(

:: Mama & abah kasik vcd sesame street : ELMO count 123 and flash card to idlan (sori eh mama n abah tgh kopak taleh beli hadiah memahal)...to hana kami kasik vcd sesame street jugak...umi kasik idlan kasut garfield (tp mama yg belikan hehe), mummy hana pon kasik kasut kat idlan, mickey kaler biru. Papa kasik baju kat idlan n hana....and taun yg pertama ni cuma ade sorang kasik besday CARD kat idlan...that is mak ude!!! tq mak ude :)

jalan-jalan habis duits

Maybe I shall declare yesterday as our ‘pokai’ day.

We went to IOI Mall, the bowling alley was our first target. We played 4 games straight till our legs and hands got shaking all over. But surely u don’t wanna miss the offer of RM2/game right? And yes I shall also consider yesterday as my lucky day. I did well in most of the games yeyy!

Right afterwards we had our lunch at Pizza. And honestly the newly lauched cuisine ‘greek mousaca’ (betul ke spelling ni?) doesn’t taste good. My advise for those who doesn’t eat eggplant (in bm they call it terung ok J), just forget to try it else u’ll regret for the money spent. It looks like lasagna with alfredo and Bolognese sauce on it, plus mozzarella cheese on top, but the fillings inside totally disappointed me….ade ayam2 hancur yg almost tak berasa ayam and lots of eggplants (I REALLY MEANT A LOT OK!) So just imagine u eating terung covered with spaghetti sauce and cheese, sedap tak hehehe..and the terung cut is quite big ok.

Then we moved on for our next plan at the next place, that is MINES! At last, after about 2-3 hrs of surveying and bargaining, I got for myself the nokia 7610 (org panggil nokia daun) and B took sony ericsson K700i. And it saddened me for the fact that I had to let go the one and only, my dark blue 3310, the one that gave its service up to the max level ever since I bought it on feb 2003. trade in for just RM50, huhuhu sedey kan? Initially the shop was willing to take it at RM70, then they figured out the phone ringing tone was totally out, the buzzer was damaged and they had to replace for a new one…so last skali dptla RM50 jek. Hp B pon dpt RM50 jer but to me the bargain was quite good since his was already outdated hehehe dah tade dlm pasaran pon :p

Our night was spent reading the manual.

Happy ke tak ade phone baru? Emm ntahla biasa je kots :p tho the functions are wayyyy much advanced than my old one, still rasa kehilangan. Dah siap jerit2 report kat B apsal tade calculator ni padahal diri ni still terkulat-kulat nak carik menu tuh haha

countdown: lagi 3 hari besday si bujang yg sorang tuh!

Weekend lepas mmg amat mencabar kesabaran aku.

1] time feeding idlan - skang nampak gaya dia dah kureng suka mkn bubur. nampak je aku sua bowl and spoon dia terus lari. puas memujuk dia still takmo mkn. sampai mama dah marah beberape kali, dia stare je balik bila mama marah, memula mata nampak cam nak berair tapi tak jadi nangis terus gelak n senyum balik...adoi terus cair hati mama. Try lagi pujuk tapi tak berjaya...ptg pon camtu..sudahnyer satu hari tak mkn bubur! instead dia mkn potato bun ngan roti jala sekeping (kat open house umah jiran). Adoi caner la nak pujuk anak mkn bubur...for info aku dah byk kali eksperimen ingredients dlm bubur tuh..carrot+potato+brokoli+ikan...utk buang hanyir ikan aku bubuh raisin. dulu bubuh ayam, tp nampak gaya dia takleh tolerate ayam sbb naik rashes...so stop ayam. Kadang kasik sayur and raisin je tak bubuh ikan. Anybody out there yg ade suggestions caner nak kasik anak suke mkn bubur? dulu penah mash nasi, tapi dia nak termuntah plaks...dia tak reti nak kunyah, instead dia cuma kumam je makanan yg masuk mulut dia.

2]penat hambat idlan during meal time dia ditambahkan lagi dgn penat pagi tuh buat choc chips muffin cilok resepi internet. first time bake muffin keras hehe..overbaked kots..luar keras dlm sedap. Second tray bake muffin cun...TAPI tak fluffy and berongga dlmnyer...bila citer kat umi aku bubuh 1 TABLESPOON baking powder umi terkezut giler..dia kata maybe sbb tuh kot muffin aku terlalu heavy/padat dan tak fluffy..ye ker kengkawan? kalau la betul, hishh maknanyer resepi internet tak boleh dipercayai cettt! Takper, still ade seminggu utk eksperimen sebelum tiba 10 december nnt utk idlan's besday celeb ehehe..akan mama usahakan sampai menjadi yey!

3]jadual ahad pon tight. pagi dimulakan dgn membuat bread pudding (versi bakar) plus castard serving dua loyang..satu utk mkn sendiri, satu utk kasik umah papa sempena open house utk close families kitorang. walaupun badan penat, tapi still rasa something missing kan B? rasa tak complete weekend tanpa outing ke shopping complex hehehe.....tp duit dlm bank dah menyusut..caner nak jln2 kat shopping complex yer?

:: B duk pujuk pi survey handphone. nokia 3310 biru tua ku dah amat nazak. cuma bley vibrate jer, ringing tones sumer dah ilang. angkara idlan termuntah 2x di atasnyer hehehe...sian phone mama. Dulu idlan suke main hp aku, tp sejak dah tak bunyi ni dia pon tak heran dah. aku plak antara sayangkan phone ngan sayangkan duit utk tukar hp baru hehe...kalo ikut hati nak je biar sampai dia langsung tak boleh beroperasi. nak beli hp baru ape pon tak tahu yg mane berkenan di hati. diri ni dah lama tak keep up to date pasal model2 hp di pasaran. nama model tak tahu, apetah lagi teknologi2 yg dioffer oleh setiap hp...oh terukkah aku? ade sesape nak suggest model ape yg best/lawa dgn harga yg tak brape mahal..say RM1k and below? oh kalau bley nak yg ade kamera skali lagik cun!

Bila kitorang cakap "chicken little chicken little" sambil gelak2, terus dia kepak-kepakkan tangan dia cam ayam/bird nak terbang....hehe comel sungguh! ntah mane dia blajar ntah..mama ngan abah tade plak beli vcd citer tuh. Skang suke betul kepak-kepak tangan...dlm keta, sambil duduk, sambil tgk sesame street, etc etc...haa bila bukak cd sesame street terus dia kalut sibuk nak berdiri pegang skrin tv tuh...bila elmo and geng nyanyi, dia pon mumbles cam paham..ikut nyanyi sama kots...kartun bob the builder pon dia suker tgk, lagi satu kitorang perasan dia suke tgk iklan shampu, musykil plak aku...dia suke tgk wanita cantik ke suke tgk rambut pompuan tuh??

Pasnih nak mintak limaunipis burn kan vcd tilmiz, kang kalo asyik tgk kartun je payah gak! Bebudak nursery pon ckp idlan suke giler tgk kartun, mulut bising bukan main. Dan akak nursery cakap dia antara yg paling lambat habiskan makanan (kat umah mama amik masa dekat sejam nak abiskan satu meal)..makan lambat tapi mulut pot pet bukan main lagi yer???

Tapi kenape bila pegi umah orang mulut macam terkunci sayang? rumah org mmgla tak sama macam rumah kita..tapi kat rumah org ade ramai org macam kat nursery, tapi kenape mulut tak bising sama macam duduk kat nursery?

pontianak II

We went for pontianak harum sundal mlm II movie last tuesday (both of us took off ok, bukan curik tulang :p) at GSC, sunway pyramid. The story? hmm so-so la...along the way i kept on asking B ---> why like this, why like that, ni hantu ke sape, bla bla bla...so conclusion is it's kind of hard to understand the whole story though u've seen the first one. My advice, go and get some gist of the story so u wont be sitting inside the panggung, berkerut-kerut muka sambil berfikir apesal laa jadik camni. But credits go to maya karin, she acted very well as a banshee (B in fact asking me, kenape panggil banshee, bukan vampire? hehe)...background music also ok, sinematography tip top, overall i rated 6/10. Not bad for a malay movie la kan? and make sure u pay attention to the baby, she's soo adorable and innocent..and kesian dia sbb asyik kena culik dek pontianak tuh huhu

Before that we had our lunch at chicken hartz and we were like haaa dah RM16.90 per pax? hish hish mahalnyer...we used to pay only RM12++ during our univ time and the place was indeed good for large kroni's gathering+chit-chatting. Unlike those early days, this time we just couldnt eat as much as we used to. Situation was different i guess, takde kengkawan yg ramai sebagai pembakar semangat utk pump in the food hehe

OK time to sign off, a lot of hassles in the office right now...just because of the lauching of THAT new system! we're supposed to move forwards and be advance in everything we do rite? but things happened in an adverse direction ..we're now struggling to cope up with this new thingy and going backwards like the old days where manual data input takes place...apolaaaa!
